Real estate gives us a level of flexibility most jobs don't, but that can be a double-edged sword. On one hand, we can design our schedules and work when we want, but we also have families and obligations at home.
This can lead to a lot of guilt about how we're showing up both at home and at work. We might feel like we're bad parents for being so driven at work, or feel like we're slacking at work because of our home life.
We often strive to find balance between the two, but that doesn't exist. Instead we can work towards conscious integration - embracing the fact that life is unpredictable, our schedules can be messy, and that we can still be brilliant business owners. From the conversations we have with our kids to how we set up our schedules, there are ways to get the most out of work and family.
How do we overcome the guilt we often feel as parents who want to build great businesses? How do we build unique brands in real estate?
In today's episode, we're joined by author, entrepreneur, speaker, and founder and CEO of Boss Mom, Dana Malstaff. She shares how we can grow our businesses and still be available for our families (without burning out).
In real estate, we should be niching down. You'll get more business by picking your belief system and sharing those online than by trying to be a catch-all. -Dana Malstaff
