You want people to think you know what you’re doing if they’re going to hire you. But more and more, I find that people realize you don’t have to know everything. You do have something to offer because you do know more than your clients or your customers. And they want the information that you do know. But you need help, too.
Maybe you’re starting a business, or maybe you’ve had a business for quite some time. Whatever the case, there’s probably a moment where your first impulse is to “stand out.” You want a shiny new logo, a new website, a new everything...but according to Kim, that’s not where your success comes from.
Your business is what you sell, but your brand sells your business. And branding isn’t just about the logo and website—it’s about who you are. It’s about what you stand for, your reputation, how people describe you when you’re not in the room. It’s about how people feel about you, and how you carve out a niche when it comes to your audience. When all of that comes together, great things happen and your business booms.
