How should you handle maternity leave when self-employed? How will you make money during maternity leave? These are some of the questions you may have when you're pregnant and self-employed.
As a self-employed person, planning maternity leave looks different than being employed in a traditional 9-to-5 job. Instead of notifying Human Resources, you will be taking paid leave, you are responsible for funding your leave and designing what that looks like.
