Inspired me to change careers.

This podcast blew my mind. There are so many revelations in these interviews; about the power of measurement, the role behavior psychology plays in everything from energy to food to plastic consumption to waste, how a little gamification can have a huge effect on tens of thousands of people… WOW. If you want to learn how to create an impactful non-profit, are part of the sustainability movement, are looking to create positive environmental change, or would like to understand how to impact people’s sustainable behavior, you will gain so much from listening to this series.

Just the episode about the Urban Heat Island Effect left my jaw on the floor. She's speaking with some of the smartest researchers in the field to dive deep on the measurement of environmental and behavioral data. So cool.

And then buy her book, because it will change your life.

Insightful

Katie Patrick’s podcasts are rich with useful information and very insightful, even for veterans of the sustainability movement. I really appreciate the economy with which she conducts her interviews; she avoids frivolous banter, gets right to the point, and asks well thought-out questions. She also listens carefully and ensures she has understood the more complex concepts before moving on, which in turn helps me as a listener. She will occasionally weave in experiences from her life, creating a more dynamic interview, without detracting from the messages conveyed by her subjects.
