Sandra is joined by Lindsay Smith, a social media expert, and copywriter, to discuss how you can use social media to help your business grow and flourish. They also discuss the importance of not becoming controlled and obsessed with social media and the steps that you should implement if you do start feeling controlled.
Lindsay is originally from a small town in Québec but now lives in Hamilton, Ontario. School and work took her to Cuba, Mexico, and Washington DC in her early twenties and it was a fascination with language while living in Washington that prompted a decision to go back to school to study journalism. She worked for CBC Radio right out of school and eventually shifted to print then digital journalism. From there, she fell into advertising where she worked for 12 years as a copywriter, content writer, and community manager. After having kids, leaving the traditional world of advertising just made sense. She slowly started freelancing and it turned into a full-time job. Currently, she teaches other business owners how to create their content and write their copy.
