How to Travel for Yourself The World Wanderers Podcast

    • Places & Travel

Have you ever planned a trip, but felt less than excited about what the guide book recommends? Or have you visited an attraction that everyone was talking about and thought to yourself "what's the big deal?"? On this episode, we are discussing traveling for yourself. This came up for us quite a bit last month as we planned our trip to Myanmar. We bought a guidebook and began to look at the recommended things to do, trying to filter out what we actually wanted to do and what would actually give us enjoyment. The thing that we struggle with is this idea that you "have' to see something. That you haven't really experienced a city or country if you don't see the top attractions. So, we're tackling how to deal with this, how to figure out what you like + don't like, and ultimately, how to enjoy your travels a little bit more. This episode of the podcast is brought to you by YOU - this listener of the show! We just changed up our rewards on Patreon, and becoming a supporter of the show has never been better. Did someone say postcard from an exotic location?
