The David Attenborough of speculative fiction

Mr. Jim Moon is the David Attenborough of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. I don't say that lightly. As Sir David has provided a guide to the natural world with sophistication, wit, and overwhelming knowledge, Sir Jim provides a guide to genre fiction, with impeccable historical research into, say, the evolution of the concept of the zombie, as well as recaps of the careers of greats such as Christopher Lee, all with humor and sharp wit. Definitely one of my top 10 podcasts!

Well worth your time!

From his readings of classic & obscure strange tales, to his in-depth excursions into all topics weird & wonderful, Mr. Moon rises above most podcasts and has made something truly unique. His exhaustive research on various topics is in itself impressive. But it’s the humor and obvious love of the material that makes listening such a joy.

Get a PHD in Horror!

Jim Moon teaches a thoroughly entertaining master class on the horror genre. How he’s able to track down such extensive history I’ll never know, but I’m glad he does.
