I look forward to his podcast every week or so, funny and insightful!
An important topic with helpful analysis!

The first episode was a wonderful analysis of the various kinds of errors we might find in the news. The distinctions between these were VERY helpful. I wish more people — including journalists — employed them. E.g., the distinction between misinformation and disinformation. I also like how Beth and Elizabeth are able to find relevant experts like Dr. Jolley — someone who studies conspiracy theory. Thanks Beth and Elizabeth I look forward to more!
2 people promoting critical thinking!

My absolute favorite thing about this podcast is that it is 2 nonscientists encouraging everyone to think critically and scientifically about the information that is presented in the media. Scientific thinking isn’t some field specific trait, you can and should be employing it all the time and it’s something anyone can do! The hosts provide a primer of sorts for evaluating news in the first episode and take a relatively unbiased approach to evaluating fake news. I mean it’s mainly articles from the political right but they do acknowledge the left is guilty of it to an extent too. It’s basically 2 people educating others on fake news and how to evaluate the news, discussing what feels like today’s perilous political climate, and doing so with a touch of humor so you don’t necessarily feel like all is lost. Thanks for being awesome Beth and Elizabeth!
