A podcast about what we think…whether you care or not.

What Are Your Most Dateline-y Moments?

What Are Your Most Dateline-y Moments?

Clearly, this is not an official question, but the topic came up during Marco Polos (the official meeting location of the podcast) about what situations we've got ourselves into that should have landed us on Dateline. And boy, have Heather and Vanessa been places and seen some things! Yowza!

Neither person knew about the stories until the mics were hot. Learn about all the antics and crazy encounters the ladies had way, way back in the day. Most names were kept anonymous to protect the innocent...no one needs to be grounded after 40.

Enjoy the chaos and craziness of the most Dateline-y encounters of Heather and Vanessa.

    Dawson's Creek Special Ep 10 to 13

    Dawson's Creek Special Ep 10 to 13

This is another special edition episode about something Heather and Vanessa have A LOT to say about...Dawson's Creek Season 2! Do not worry, this will not become a recap podcast, but there will be episodes here and there covering a chunk of episodes until we finish the series.

Even if you have never seen Dawson's Creek, the ladies get into it all. The clothes, the music (the famous intro song), the little foreshadowing moments, the dialogue, and a theory about how the show is written. Is this really about Dawson? Settle in for a witty discussion about an iconic show and some surprises along the way.

    Our Favorite Thing:
From Heather and Vanessa, watch Dawson's Creek episodes 14 thru 17 to prepare for the next podcast episode.

Subscribe so you don't miss an episode and share with everyone you know!

Please leave us a review and let us know what you think about this episode.

    What About NXIVM? Part 1

    What About NXIVM? Part 1

It is finally time...you have waited almost a full year...it is time to ask:
    What About NXIVM?
And it is just Part 1! It will definitely be a multi-episode topic. It could easily be 2 or 3 parts to discuss all the information about one cult...NXIVM. Keith Raniere did not get sentenced to 120 years and a $1.75 million fine for nothing. Vanessa has reviewed it all (Heather busted out some Wikipedia to support it...how they do) from podcasts to documentaries to books and shows, she has watched it all...okay, except the Lifetime movie...it was just too much.

Vanessa had to start somewhere so listen in as the ladies follow the trail of women and the trail of money spanning 4 decades that built up to the start of NXIVM. Yep...you read that right...40 years of relationships and manipulation to maintain the lifestyle of a cult leader and supposed guru.

See below for all the media referenced and use to facilitate the discussion. Remember kids, it's okay to aim to better yourself this year, just don't join a cult!

What Brought You Joy in 2022?

What Brought You Joy in 2022?

It's... kind of...another question from "Deep Talk: A year’s worth of daily questions generated by a machine" by John Bohannon, Director of Science, Primer.ai
"These 365 questions were generated using GPT-J-6B, an autoregressive language model trained on 800 GB of internet text. The prompts used for the generation were randomly shuffled samples of human-written questions."  -https://primer.ai/deep-talk-questions/
     What brings you joy?

But the ladies changed it to...What brought you joy in 2022?
It's 2023 and instead of resolutions, we are

    What About Imposter Syndrome?

    What About Imposter Syndrome?

It has come up pretty frequently last year and it was time for Heather and Vanessa to discuss it:
    What About Imposter Syndrome?
The listeners have asked for Heather and Vanessa to disagree and finally, it's here. Not all of the conversation is warm and fuzzy. There are some sides taken in this episode! The ladies talk about what imposter syndrome is, what leads us to have imposter syndrome, seeing it in ourselves, and understanding how to overcome it.
