ISWIS SE02EP21 - The "Special Package" Episode Ft. Tobi Kukoyi

What do you know about “special package”?

This week, we talk to Tobi Kukoyi, the founder of Mydysiac about Kayan Mata. She breaks down the origins, contents and misconceptions around Kayan mata. We discuss whether or not it has spiritual implications (so basically is it voodoo?”), desirability politics and why it is marketed so heavily to women. We also delve into the sexual enhancements market in Nigeria and how men are VERY invested in their sex game. It was an absolutely hilarious and honest conversation. You can find our guest @mydysiac on all socials everywhere. She would absolutely LOVE to hear from you guys.

ISWIS SE02EP20 - The "Daddy's Little Girl" Episode Ft. Ade Balogun

ISWIS SE02EP20 - The "Daddy's Little Girl" Episode Ft. Ade Balogun

This week, we talk to the phenomenal Ade Balogun about two of our favourite things; work and family! Ade has had an interesting career; from architecture to e-commerce to simultaneously owning a hair salon and working on renewable energy for low income households. After discussing her career journey, we delve into her family life, discussing her blissful childhood and early adulthood as a sort of, kind of only child to a decade long rift with her father and their reconciliation. We also get into what it’s like dealing with the public health system while caring for a sick parent, and honouring a parents religious beliefs and performing traditional rites in their honour. It’s a really interesting discussion.

1000% relatable and empowering

Took me about 3 days to finish listening to the episode with Dimma Umeh and I loved every bit of it! I related so well with each of their stories cuz I’m the first child and first daughter as well so the struggle is REAL. I’m so ready to be 2000% high maintenance 😂

The Bounce Bringers - The Highlight of My Week!

This podcast is truly the highlight of my week (in case no one has thanked you two enough, THANK YOU for the podcast and for the consistency during the lockdown, I never doubted you unlike the other naysayers 😂😂). No but seriously, FK and Jola remind me of my friends and I really appreciate their banter and focus on social issues.
