Welcome to the third episode of Disturbing Films for a Curious Mind! Jess (my I Spit on Your Podcast co-host) has reluctantly come back to the realm of Taboo Terrors. We watched the infamous SALO - the shit-eating, teenager killing, Italian film based on Marquis de Sade’s novel, The 120 Days of Sodom. Since this is a classic in extreme cinema, I had to show Jess! How far down into the Circle of Hell did she make it? Listen on to find out!

Hungry for Horror

Great podcast to sink your teeth into if you are hungry for thoughtful feminist analysis on your horror favorites! I love how they explore my favorite shows and movies and they make me want to catch up on all the flicks I haven’t seen yet. They even made me change my perspective on some of my least favorite horror movies. I can’t get enough!

Mispronounced words everywhere

I was hopeful for this podcast. As a fellow female lover of horror, I thought this would be refreshing. I listened to 2 episodes and was done. These ladies mispronounced the simplest words. It became really annoying. Note to mention mispronouncing Laurie Strode. Really? You don’t know the name of the lead character in Halloween? Really disappointing

Spinsters- Forever!

Jess and Kelly are whip-smart, funny, and deeply passionate about what horror means to them, and to their audience. It’s like if Ginger and Brigitte Fitzgerald had a podcast about genre. (Which is which tho? Hmm.)
