Episode 22: Mental Health: Be honest with yourself! with Kelsey Darragh

Social media is a giant mess of all different kinds of things a lot of the time, but it can also be used extremely positively. This weeks guest, Kelsey Darragh, proves that point 10 times over. Listen in as we talk about Covid, Anxiety, Depression and most importantly; being authentic to yourself and how you feel.

Make sure you keep an eye out for her book all about mental health that's coming out soon! In Kelsey's words, it's the book she wished she would have had when she was younger.

Episode 21: A Recovery Story: Eating Disorders and Amenorrhea with Ananda De Jager

Episode 21: A Recovery Story: Eating Disorders and Amenorrhea with Ananda De Jager

Eating disorders can cause a lot of shame and guilt, which ends up feeding the desire to perpetuate it even more. This week I chat with Ananda De Jager, who battles her disorders daily, and talks about what can happen because of those choices, and how to live your life beyond them. She also wrote a book of very honest, close to the chest poems that you can find online here:

Episode 20: Your Mental Health Workout with Zoë Aston

Episode 20: Your Mental Health Workout with Zoë Aston

If you're like me and try to follow positive social media influencers, you'll love this episode. Zoë has a fantastic instagram page all about mental health, positive posts, and advice! She's a therapist and mental health counselor based out of London so she knows a thing or two about all of this. She just released an e-book to help with the pandemic depression and really interacts well with her social media community. I had a blast talking to her, and I hope you get something out of this episode like I did.

Episode 19: Neuroscience and Mental Health: Changing how we diagnose and treat our minds with Dr. Erik Won

EEG. TMS. XYZ? Why am I typing random letters at the beginning of this? Well, two of those sets of letters aren't random actually, and are extremely applicable to mental health. This week, I got to learn a TON from Dr. Erik Won about the brain, neuroscience and some new methods of helping mental health that I had no clue about. And we talk about sleep. Which is one of my favorite things in the world. Do yourselves a favor and check this episode out!

Skasper06 ,

Love this podcast!

I’m always looking for new podcasts that can keep my attention and also help me feel like I am bettering myself. The #iCare podcast has great guests, it’s interactive with the listeners, and a quick Facebook search shows you just how supportive and encouraging their online community is. A lot of mental health podcasts and experts make me feel like mental health is such a distant and abstract thing. Mike and the #iCare team are so supportive to the real, daily life and grind of living with various types of mental illness. I’m very thankful for them and the whole #iCare movement!
