I'd Like To Thank MySELF

Cynthia Garcia

What if the worst moments of your life became the reason you win? I’d Like to Thank MySELF is about the moments no one claps for. The private decisions, the breakdowns, and the stubborn self-belief it takes to keep going when all you wanted to do was quit. We thank everyone else for our success… our team, our mentors, the academy. But when’s the last time you thanked the only person who actually dragged you through hell and back. YourSELF. I’m pulling back the curtain on what it actually took to go from food stamps to building $100M+ in businesses. The moments that almost broke me. And the ones that changed me. Sometimes it’s just me. Sometimes it’s me and my husband building our company together. Sometimes it’s founders and creatives sharing their stories too. This show is my love letter to the version of you who doesn’t get enough credit. Nothing is filtered. Nothing is softened. It’s just the truth… and a drink. It’s confessions worth toasting, and every episode ends the same way. We raise a glass and say the thing most people are too humble to admit: “I’d like to thank mySELF.”

I Built $100M. Why Doing It Again at 48 Is Harder.

FREE Guide – Download The 3 Questions I Ask Before Making Big Decisions (So I Don’t F It Up) here: https://www.cynthiagarcia.com/episode02-3questions I'm 48. I'm building a new company. And last week I stood in my kitchen wondering if this was even a good idea. It turns out, building a business at 48 is nothing like building one at 28. We're told that experience makes things easier. But experience doesn't account for perimenopause, raising a teenager, caring for aging parents, and the paralyzing fear of "what if I can't do it again?" In 7th grade, my teacher asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said a secretary. That was the biggest dream I could see from where I was standing — bathing in a creek, wearing clothes from the donation bin, watching my mom stretch food stamps like they were made of rubber. 36 years later, I've built multiple businesses to over $100M. And now I'm starting over. Again. In an industry I've never been in. With a brain that leaves the building by 2pm and a phone that somehow ends up in the fridge. If you're a woman over 40 reinventing herself — part of the sandwich generation balancing entrepreneurship, motherhood, and aging parents — this one's for you. I'm sharing the brutal truth about the difference between the desperate hunger of my 20s and the complex reality of my 40s. In this video, we talk about: The Reality Check: Why starting a business later in life feels heavier than when you had nothing to lose. The "Sandwich" Struggle: Navigating entrepreneurship while balancing perimenopause, motherhood, and aging parents. The Identity Crisis: Why "doing it again" is scarier when you’ve already succeeded once. The Kitchen Moment: How to push through the doubt when you’re standing in your kitchen wondering if you’ve made a huge mistake.Subscribe to follow the journey: https://www.youtube.com/@iamcynthiagarcia #womenentrepreneurs #over40 #startingabusiness #perimenopause #womeninbusiness #entrepreneurship #reinvention #midlifeawakening #idliketothankmyself #cynthiagarcia EPISODE CHAPTERS:0:00 — Why building at 48 feels so much different 1:14 — The secretary story (7th grade dream) 3:50 — The kitchen moment that made me question everything 6:57 — The grief nobody talks about: burying your old self 8:57 — The real shit about building at this age 14:04 — The flip: why 48 is actually better than 28 18:25 — The close + callback 19:53 — The toast About Cynthia GarciaCynthia Garcia grew up bathing in a creek in Appalachian poverty and built her entire life from nothing. 3. I Built $100M From Nothing Then Walked Away. Now I’m Starting Over at 48.

    JAN 20

I Built $100M From Nothing Then Walked Away. Now I’m Starting Over at 48.

I grew up on food stamps in the Appalachian Mountains with no running water in our house until I was fifteen years old. I took baths in the creek down the road, used an actual outhouse, and dumpster dived for skincare and makeup because somewhere in my thirteen-year-old brain I decided that being pretty would save me from poverty. And then I built over $100M in businesses. My face ended up on a billboard in Times Square. I was on Dr. Phil - not as a guest with a problem, but as the expert. Newsweek put my book on the cover. I was living the dream that little girl in Appalachia couldn’t have even imagined. And at my absolute peak, when everyone thought I had finally made it, I disappeared on purpose. I took time for self reflection and self awareness. This motivational video is the first episode of I’d Like to Thank MySELF, and it’s the story I’ve never told publicly. I’m sharing why I walked away when everything was working, what almost broke me — twice — and why I’m back now, starting a completely new company at 48 years old in an industry where I have zero experience. It's the ultimate exercise in personal growth and self improvement. In this episode, you’ll learn: Why I walked away at the height of my success when most people would have doubled downThe moment that almost ended everything — and what actually shifted in me that nightHow I built over $100M in businesses without having a massive social media followingWhy starting over at 48 feels like my biggest flex, not my biggest fearThe real reason most entrepreneurs burn out chasing tactics and strategies that will never work — and how I finally stoppedIf you’ve ever felt like you’re running out of time, like maybe your window has closed, like the cost of success is too high and you’re not sure it’s worth it anymore... I made this episode for you. Pour yourself a drink. You’re probably gonna need it. #idliketothankmyself #selfmade #womenentrepreneurs #startingover #entrepreneurship #rewriteyourstory  #womeninbusiness #over40  #cynthiagarcia #rewrittenbeauty #motivationalvideo #personalgrowth #selfimprovement EPISODE CHAPTERS:00:25 — The red carpet was rolled out and I knew it was a trap01:18 — Where I came from: no running water, food stamps, dumpster diving for makeup04:35 — The day at school that changed everything (Thanks, Amanda)09:17 — Moving to LA and becoming homeless within 48 hours13:21 — Billboard in Times Square (and why I was terrified the whole time)17:06 — The night I almost didn’t make it19:31 — Building The PINK Method and watching it explode22:18 — Why I walked away at my absolute peak of success23:31 — The quiet years and what I actually built when no one was watching27:45 — Why I’m back and building Rewritten Beauty at 4829:32 — The toast About Cynthia GarciaCynthia Garcia grew up bathing in a creek in Appalachian poverty and built her entire life from nothing.
