The Great Navy Birds of Lake Michigan with Taras Lyssenko
In this Episode, Pete and Ed talk with Author, Archaeologist, Aviation Historian Taras Lyssenko. He Authored the book - The Great Navy Birds of Lake Michigan and recovered nearly 40 aircraft from Lake Michigan. Taras is the T from A and T Recovery. A and T Recovery (Allan Olson and Taras Lyssenko) is an American company that has the primary purpose to locate and recover once lost WWII US Navy aircraft for presentation to the American public. They have recovered nearly forty such aircraft, mainly from Lake Michigan. The aircraft were lost during the aircraft carrier qualification conducted out of the former NAS Glenview that was located north of Chicago.

Great Podcast for Warbird Buffs!
If you love World War Two warbirds you owe it to yourself to download and listen to episodes of The Hangardeck Podcast. Host "Pitchlock Pete", a retired USN P-3 Orion flight engineer, is just bursting with enthusiasm and he has a great sense of humor too. I especially like how The Hangardeck Podcast has a close relationship with The Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach, VA, where I volunteer as a docent. The Hangardeck crew always records and broadcasts from the Museum's Warbirds Over The Beach Air Show and does some great interviews.

I just found this podcast yesterday and glad I did. I’m so glad to see that someone is giving some attention to Aviation Maintenance. There are a ton of podcasts about aviation but most are pilot focused and do not even mention aviation maintenance as a career. I am HUNGRY for content devoted to maintenance and I’m sure there are a lot of others out there that are too. I personally am a helicopter mechanic which is another seldom talked about facet of the industry so I am glad to hear you guys talk specifically about that. Great work guys and please keep the episodes coming! So far I’ve only listened to episodes 3&4 but noticed that on both of those episodes (especially #4) the sound quality of the guest is very low in volume compared to the host Pitch Lock Pete. If not for this sound issue I would give the podcast 5 stars. Thanks!
