Schweddy Balls

This is a very good podcast reviewing patristic writings. It is thorough and informative and is also the fruit of the labor of the hosts' obvious study and thoughtful engagement with the various texts. I recommend it highly.
The title of my review refers to the Saturday night live sketch of Alec Baldwin as a baker and Molly Shannon and Anna Gasteyer as NPR style radio host who have him on their show to discuss his baked holiday balls. There are several characteristics of the hosts that unintentionally mimic that sketch from the muted humor to the snuffled laughter that he seems almost like an homage to that sketch. This of course only multiplies my enjoyment of the podcast.

Good stuff

It’s good listening to a couple of guys who are familiar with the church fathers helping bring the riches of their teachings to those who might not have read them, or have been taught outright lies about them and the Church. And thank you, like the other reviewer said for doing it in a non threatening manner.
