Season Finale Part 2 - the bastardization of science in the cosmetics industry with Dr Ricardo Diez
New podcast alert! Part 2 of our 2 part season finale featuring Dr Ricardo Diez. In part 1 we talked about the rise of the alternative (facts) cosmetics industry. This episode dove into the how. From false equivalency via self proclaimed experts, to wide spread fallacies that are spread as fact. The bastardization of science, to the EWG - how they cherry pick research to drive their agenda, and use fear to capture the market.

Interview with Sam Farmer: Ethically Navigating the Cosmetics Sector as an Indie Brand
This week we spoke with Sam Farmer. In an industry led by pseudoscience marketing noise, Sam is someone I’ve long admired for going against the grain with his brand to stand up for reason in the cosmetics space. This conversation aired live on our discord and featured Sam’s perspective on what it means to ethically navigate the cosmetics industry as a father, an indie beauty brand and as a consumer. Enjoy!

Saves me from misinformation!
Saved my baby’s skin
I was caught up in clean beauty science trying to figure out what to do to help my baby’s severe eczema without causing harm and going over budget. I was avoiding so many helpful products because of clean beauty messaging—and I have a decent science background—and after hearing episodes and seeing the Instagram, I finally understood the products I was avoiding were SAFE. Breath of relief for me as a mom. I work in wellness and passing on this info has been invaluable to helping others as well.
Absolutely loving this niche but also broad podcast that covers so many topics in this space that’s relevant to all!!
