#485: John O'Brien joins the pod

#482 — USWNT v Japan recap
Hey! A giant leap forward from the soccer we watched at the W Gold Cup last month. Combinations, lots of chances, Mal Swanson back from with the NT and as dynamic as ever, very little created by Japan (a good team) outside the first 30 seconds. Full recap/celebration of a very good performance as the Olympics draw near.

Lots of European and NWSL action to catch up on, Korbin Albert's TikTok reposts and her long-range strikes for PSG, Mallory Swanson scores, Sam Coffey scores, Claire Hutton shines, and potential XIs vs Japan on Saturday.

Crowd in jerry’s world
There were a lot of Panamanians, Honduras, El Salvador and other nationalities that do not support El Tri. In addition to dual citizens. Also, the crowd appreciates a good goal. Saludos
Positive psych
I wait patiently after every game for the Scuffed review. This one did not let me down. I felt like I was laying down on the couch and the doctors office and it was explained to me the value of watching a game that is so stressful, but you know the score! Now I’m going to watch it again and look for the things to smile at, the sequences that were building.
All with the hidden knowledge that I know what happens. It’s like understanding revelation in the Bible. You have a greater hope for life when you realize God has a plan. That his son gave his life for a reason. That guy loves us.
and hopefully soccer is a game we play in Paradise!
Review of DR
Great show, love constructive criticism and bring it up things I wish other podcast would touch on just my opinion but I think US soccer is trying to make Albert the next Alex Morgan, looking for a face of US soccer.
