Ep. 151 || Listener takes over as host! Who knows the other better, Ben or Jason? Preferred ways to die, what the church sucks at doing, jazz flutes, and more crazy fun!

David Tiesma, friend of the show and host of the Watch Your Mouth Podcast, takes over as host of Threads on this episode. We start out with a game to see who knows the other person better, Ben or Jason. Any guesses who won?? Then, David led us through a discussion in which we answered questions of varying depth. Though it was admittedly weird to turn over the reins as hosts, Ben and Jason had a great time recording this episode.

Special thanks to David for making this happen! Check out his show, Watch Your Mouth Podcast, at https://anchor.fm/watchyourmouthpod!

Rissa Reel is a domestic abuse survivor and mental health advocate. She took an 800 mile walk across America as a way to work through her trauma and raise awareness about mental health. Jason and Ben were amazed by her maturity and outlook on life. We thoroughly enjoyed talking with Rissa!

Ep. 147 || The Shout Out Show!

On this episode, we gave shout outs to the people and things that have helped us become who we are today. Our shout outs stretch throughout our lives and are given to abusive parents (yes, really), women pastors, quality friends, fitness tools, and of course our wives. We wouldn't be where we are today without y'all!

Ep. 146 || Ben and Jason talk about a stolen bike, relationship dynamics, rage, and a dead body.

Buckle up, this episode is a bit of a doozy! Ben and Jason catch up on life and along the way debrief some challenges they encountered in their friendship. Listen in as Ben shares how his bike was stolen, and returned! Jason shares about how things are going in his relationships as he seeks to be more calm and level headed. The guys also explore some ongoing conversations between them and their friend Mike, who Ben went to college with.

Ben and Jason wrap things up by giving a mental health update. Ben went completely off script, which threw Jason for a loop!

On this show we mention this scale that Mike encouraged Ben to buy -- check it out, it is amazing: https://amzn.to/39cCj1k

Smart, witty, and relevant.

Let me start by saying that I look forward to Ben’s sewing pun of the day. A great way to start. These guys are super vulnerable about faith, family, and ... food. (Felt like I needed another “f” in there. Sorry. Check it out. You’ll find something you can relate / connect to.

Enjoy this podcast

This is a truly great podcast that makes more of an impact than Jason and Ben probably realize. The focus on mental health, relationships, support, and spirituality has continually drawn me back week after week. It challenged me to keep with therapy after my therapist retired and to not give up because it is hard. Listening to the struggles and hearing the growth of these guys through the seasons has been inspirational. Keep up the great work… and thank you.

This podcast is awesome

These guys are funny, real, and open-minded. They talk about Christianity from a personal point of view, not a preachy one, and their guests are so diverse. Really great show. Funny, honest.
