Love the stories!

Sara definitely knows how to tell a story! Appreciate the real-life situations as it applies to everyday comms as well.

Amateur in Every Way

As an internal communications professional for a large, Fortune 500 company who also happens to listen to a LOT of podcasts, I am disappointed to say that this podcast is largely amateurish and unprofessional. I have listened to every episode for the past year, and while I was relieved that the format changed in 2020 to shorter episodes, Sarah Jackson's cadence and tone of voice sounds as if she's reading a children's book. On a podcast that is supposed to be for professionals? Conversely, more than one guest in the fall 2020 season used foul language. As I said, I listen to a lot of podcasts, and I have no problem with cursing, but it comes out of left field here and just seems inappropriate. Coupled with the childish copy reads, and Sarah's somtimes overblown reactions ("I LOVE that!"), the podcast seems incredibly immature for one that is exclusively focused on the workplace. Finally, the interviews and content have done little more than confirm the things we are already doing at my company, so I have not gained much insight or helpful advice. It may benefit those who are just starting their internal comms careers, but I doubt that more seasoned professionals will get much out of it.

The best IC storytelling

I love the way this podcast is produced. The host is such a great storyteller and I love how she is so honest with us. The format is cool with the intro and then cut-ins throughout the show. The realness of this podcast is what sets it apart from others.
