Ep 114 - SEASON (?) FINALE: Harvest Blood Moon
In the epic season finale, Jeff pitches a new game: Quitting the show! He talks about this episode will be his last, and how it's it's been a fun ride these last few years. Shocking Twist: It's not a game! We say goodbye in the form a epic Vampire fantasy about relationships and loss.
-
Ep 113 - Loop Lawyer : Space Attorney
Live. Die. Return - al. This week we talk Returnal, pop open the mailbag for a quick Fall Guys movie pitch, and then Matt and Daanish work trough their issues with the Chrono Trigger's criminal justice system. Also, the glorious return of "Sonic Stories" - the occasional segment where he hear a traumatic story from Matt's childhood involving Sonic the Hedgehog, and stay tuned after the credits to hear Dan's Airing of Grievances.
-
Ep112 - CastleTroid: The Reverse MetroidVania
We talk board game minis, cosplay, and video game movies, and then Jeff pitches a ridiculous idea on how to reimagine the MetroidVania genre that would never work - except we kinda make it work!
-
Ep 111 - Stasis Warriors
This week we discuss how Fall Guys players don't know how Basketball works, Zoom comedy clubs, and horses peeking through windows. For the main pitch, Matt brings us an entry in an under-represented genre: the time brawler.
-
Ep 110 - Talking Out The Trash
In the most meta-episode of the show yet, we have a conversation about a conversation-based game, and prove out in real-time that we would lose at it. Badly. Stay tuned after the credits to hear a heart-warming story about friendship.
-
Ep 109 - Inner-Race: Body Royale
We talk about our failed pre-SSMT podcast ventures, post quarantine movie-going, then dive into one of the wildest game ideas we've done yet... AFTER we completely ignore Jeff's initial pitch and do something completely different.
Customer Reviews
Great gaming podcast
Hosts are charming and interesting. It’s great hearing how they shape and mold the simplest ideas into really compelling game concepts. Highly recommend!
Fun game ideas
Love some of the ideas these guys come up with, but my one question to the hosts: why y'all seem to have two recommendation segments per episode? I'd love to hear a spin on a listener suggestion or some other segment every once in awhile. Otherwise great stuff though!
Hilarious, Creative, and Educational
Some top-notch banter from these guys mixed in with some inspiring ideas. They riff off each other so well and I always end up learning something.
