Is there Really Truth and Justice for All? Jeff Stein

How often is an innocent person found guilty of a crime they did not commit? If you had asked me this question in 2005, I would have said, not many, only because I was uneducated. Now after specializing as a Criminal Defense Investigator for the past decade my response is a complete 360. Not because the accused are my clients, but because I am now more educated and have firsthand knowledge and experience with freeing the innocent after being wrongly accused.
There are many wrongful arrests and convictions in the United States. How can we fix this? Understanding that our current judicial system is not “truth and Justice for All” and that everyone needs to be aware, this widespread problem in our country does not discriminate against race, religion, sex, nationality. Anyone can become a victim to the judicial system and incompetent investigations by law enforcement.

Addicting
I have enjoyed every episode. The program featuring Erie Atty John Carlson is spectacular. I hung on every word. The story of a teen wrongly accused of homicide was mesmerizing. Fantastic program. Keep up the great work.

Absolutely love the podcast. I feel like there is so much information that an hour just doesn’t do it justice. Hopefully there can be longer episodes or some episodes broken up into part 1 & part 2 in the future! But I love the podcast and great job!
Timing couldn’t be better
This show grabs by the short hairs issues within the justice system that are otherwise masked by layers of corruption, politics, and a “don’t ask, don’t tell” mentality. The show is formatted as a story told by the actual persons involved (defendants, attorneys, investigators & police) combined with natural pauses where the host and guests discuss the relevant issues of that case and how it relates to the justice system as a whole. IMO, this is not a platform directing one-sided attacks at LE or the DA’s. The host makes that clear. The show provides ideas and methods to fixing the justice system, which should be the goals of all sides of the system.
