What is an Authentic Voice? Part 3

What is an Authentic Voice? Part 3

On the podcast, I've been doing a series on the ‘authentic’ voice— what does it mean to have an authentic voice? How do you find it? Where I’ve landed so far is that being an authentic communicator is not so much about a certain type of sound but about a feeling— how does it feel to you when you are communicating? Connected to your experience? Connected to the experience of who you’re talking to?This can be extremely difficult, because society doesn’t exactly help us to be this kind of commun...

Great for anyone wanting to begin (or deepen) a voice practice

If you’re looking to develop (or deepen) a voice practice then I 100% recommend this podcast. Each episode of Bespoke Speaks features a different voice and speech warm-up, ranging from 5-25 minutes. They prepare warm-ups for everything from speaking on camera to preparing difficult talks. I’ve been listening to their warm-ups and following along myself (I’m a voice teacher, too) and LOVING it.

Fantastic podcast for all voice users - so really everyone!

This podcast is truly fantastic. The way they break everything down, it’s so easy to follow & understand. I particularly enjoyed the two part episode on Breath Support. This reminded me of my training as an actor and gave me some real insight on what I can do as I move forward on my journey as a voice user. I’m so grateful for all of the voice podcasts out there, especially this one! Thank you Christine and Lindsay!
