I can relate to so many of her stories that I felt like it was almost me! I had no idea somebody could have had so many similar experiences and thought processes when we totally live very different lives and are strangers.

Funny Acting For A Reason
I don’t want to sit and chat. I don’t like answering the telephone. Text me. I will keep an email as short as possible. I thought I was just weird, but it turns out these quirks were saving me.

All Skin Folk Aint Kinfolk
Yoooo, there are plenty of Black folks who have drank the racist koolaid and want to be anything other than Black. They are tripping! I ran into one yesterday on these internet streets who would just crawl out of her skin, if she could. You wanna know how she got this way? Her White momma and them! They raised this girl to believe she could be white some days if she wanted to. Y'all... Then she not only refuses to save herself from this self-hate hell, she wants to teach other parents how to induct their children into it.
Just listen to what I have to say about it.

Customer Reviews
Feels like I’m in your living room
Thank you for this awesome podcast—it feels like I’m in your living room just chatting (except it’s about something personal and important in my life). Also: can we see a picture of the 80s baby hair those kids made fun of? A twist out sounds cute! What was wrong with them!?
Excellent!
Thank you Kanisha for opening a window into your world. I’m hooked!
