Episode 46: Standing Up to Bullying with Bullseye The Clown

Episode 46: Standing Up to Bullying with Bullseye The Clown

"We aren't meant to blend in. We are meant to stand out." - Bullseye

Bullseye The Clown may seem like an unlikely bullying expert, but with over 25 years experience navigating around and developing innovative tactics to dealing with bullies, he is a one of a kind force to be reckoned with.
Bullseye The Clown received his Bachelor of Arts in Comprehensive Theater and Communications from Ashland University. Throughout his career as an actor and stand-up comedian, he employed psychodrama techniques and the secrets of body language to not only read what the bully is truly thinking but to also create "characters" to get himself out of some very compelling situations.
Bullseye is so passionate about helping those who feel unloved, under-appreciated and disregarded by society that he is revealing a number of survival tips and suggestions in his book, Bullseye On Bullying: Your Blueprint To Beating The Bullies, as well as tackling topics like these weekly on his Youtube show, Bullseye On Bullying.

In this episode, we discuss how he handled his own childhood bullies as well as ways that teachers can support their students to feel appreciated, confident, and safe. Bullseye also shares lively stories about his time traveling Russia with Patch Adams, who used clowning as an entry to healing and used laughter as a language of its own.

As Bullseye implores, be the teacher that is known to have your students' back and will stand up for the students.

Episode 43: Emotional Regulation with Andrea Hanson

Do you wonder what can be done to support your students with emotional regulation? There are so many ways to support our students' emotional regulation needs through a trauma-informed lens and I discovered an amazing expert who knows exactly what kids need and how to support educators in meeting these needs of emotional regulation.

Andrea Hanson M.Ed specializes in identifying and resolving complex, compound, and generational trauma. Understanding that trauma is a neurobiological response to environment, Andrea is passionate about helping key players in group environments create trauma informed environments while acknowledging and healing their own primary and secondary trauma. Through her understanding of the neurobiological impact of trauma, Andrea is able to offer highly impactful tools beyond behavior modification for regulating emotions, energy, and behaviors and enabling long-term change.
