    10. Contemplative Neuroscience In The Corporate World With Lars Sandved Smith

    10. Contemplative Neuroscience In The Corporate World With Lars Sandved Smith

I recently had a fascinating conversation with computational neuroscientist, Lars Sandved Smith. We've both had amazing experiences of working in the management consulting world with truly inspiring individuals and have also learned so much along the way. In contrast, we also talked about how constant interaction with the highly anxious and fibrilating nervous systems of colleagues led us both to burnout, and subsequently, the hospital. This, I realise, is becoming increasingly common. Through these conversations, I hope to bring more awareness to our colleagues who have been struggling to maintain a sense of groundedness during these turbulent times.

We touched on various fascinating topics:

    - The link between contemplative practices (meditation, yoga, etc.) and neuroscience
    - Questioning the maps and models we currently hold as beliefs and truths. Stepping back from our narrow world view and embracing the bigger picture.
    - Being confident in the fact that we don't know what we don't know
    - Contemplative practices leading to a sense of purpose. A Grounded nervous system, positive life experiences, and social interactions seem to arise naturally as a result of these practices.
    - Altruism as being fundamental to systems theory and the evolution of the workplace
    - The sense of urgency with which we should be approaching global cooperation and collaboration

I sense that you will find this conversation highly insightful.

You can find Lars' work with organisations at neuronsofpotential.com and connect with him on Linkedin (Lars Sandved Smith).

    9. Fertility, Creativity, and Flow With Shara Raqs

    9. Fertility, Creativity, and Flow With Shara Raqs

Shara Raqs, inventor of muse cycles, wants to know what is the equivalent of Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do for women? If the one inch punch portrays the heights of masculine physiology, what is the equal and opposite of that for women?

In this episode, I sit down with Shara and we talk about all things flow, fertility, and creativity. We express our joy about being women, our disappointment on the lack of awareness around cycle tracking, our period stories, goddess archetypes, and of course, the latest and hottest femtech currently on the market!

How do women work with their feminine biology to be in their optimum state, to discover their mental, physical and creative prowess?

What was fascinating to me about my conversation with Shara was not only the inherent beauty that exists within the female cycle but also how flow relates to us as women.

Simply put, women are flow. All we need to do is to tap into the magic of our own biology.

Join us as we candidly explore the magic of female biology!

8: Tech Detox: Are You A Slave Or Master To Your Tech? Thoughts On Navigating The Paradigm Shift

I love technology and I believe the exponential growth in tech will revolutionise our existence! However, have you really examined your relationship with your tech? Are you using the technology or are you being used by it? In this video, I talk about taking ownership of how we interact with technology and social media so that we learn to master this relationship. This, I believe, is fundamental to thriving in the new paradigm! I also talk about my thoughts on navigating the new paradigm shift brought to us through a global economic and health crisis. I touch on the importance of critical thinking and discernment when there is a lack of credible data available! Enjoy :)

    6. Democracy Is Dead, How The Media Is Brainwashing You And Why India Is Heading Towards A Holocaust

    6. Democracy Is Dead, How The Media Is Brainwashing You And Why India Is Heading Towards A Holocaust

If you've been paying attention, you would know that democracy is dead on our planet. Existing systems of governance are nothing more than a ploy to control and manipulate the masses. In this episode, we explore the role that the media plays in brainwashing the public, spreading fear and hate, in an attempt to meet their self-serving agendas.

We explore the growing violence towards minorities, why it's reaching a critical point and why it's currently on a dangerous trajectory. Especially within the Muslim community in India, there are heinous crimes that are being perpetrated by the Indian Hindu Supremacist Government and violate their fundamental rights as human beings.

I bring to you solutions in hopes that it may spark ideas that can drive visionary change towards a tolerant, inclusive and harmonious future. I dive into why it's important to learn to think for yourself so that you can no longer be manipulated in the name of God or Government. I urge you to think deeply about your role in the destruction and elevation of our planet. It's time to stand up for your truth, it's time to elevate your consciousness.

    5. The Compassion Revolution - The Key To Saving The Planet And Your Health

    5. The Compassion Revolution - The Key To Saving The Planet And Your Health

Since love is in the air, I thought I'd share my version of love and compassion. Compassion is a revolution that will save our planet and our health! This episode explores Buddhist mythology and several high profile scientific studies conducted on Buddhist monks that revolutionised neuroscience.

Compassion is a trait that can be learned and a skill that can be trained. It is vital for healthcare workers such as nurses to embody these practices to prevent burnout and exhaustion. In the workplace, teams with compassionate leaders are much more likely to be productive and collaborative.

Compassion based meditation produces changes in the brain in as little as 8 hours of practice. This illustrates our biological preparedness for goodness. We are wired to be good and do good because it feels good. Loving-kindness boosts the brains circuitry for joy and happiness. By wishing others well, you actually end up happier.

Compassion is not a luxury anymore. It is vital for our survival on Earth.

As the Dalai Lama said, “The first person to benefit from compassion is the one who feels it”

It’s not god or government that drives morality. It’s in our biology.

We are primed for love. May all beings be free from suffering. May all beings be happy.

    "Sabbe Satta Sukhi Hontu"

If you like this episode, feel free to share with someone who you think may benefit from listening! :)

    Much love,
