DJ Hookie (Quad amputee from Meningococcal) | #63

One of the top DJs in Australia is armless!

Tom Nash, aka DJ Hookie, lost all of his limbs due to meningococcal disease 20 years ago and claims that living as a "pirate" since has required throwing yourself into the deep end. Choosing legitimate hooks for prosthetic hands Hookie has welcomed children's inquisitiveness, shunned support networks, and carved himself an unique path in the music industry—even relearning the guitar.

With humour and humility, this episode illustrates what the world has to offer anyone who's willing to put their hooks up!

Sweatsweats ,

Awesome podcast!

Glad that people out there are showing attention to people of the disability community worldwide. As a person around the globe (in the USA) with a disability. It means a lot to show attention world wide for those with disabilities and how their lives are affected.

Peapod ,

This person is a dick

Why would you want to support someone that would go around and harass people on social media for their likes and interests. Get a better hobby.

Stinger9959 ,

Nope.

Whatever good this show does, is destroyed. Just want everyone to know who reads this that Angus is a fraud.

See, ol Angus rails on about equality for persons (like me) with disabilities but, in his off time he bullies people online for the passions that have gotten them through hard times.

You all wouldn’t see that because rather than own it, Angus deleted the tweet and subsequently got called out for his bullying.

Just thought you should know before you support this show.
