    Reel Roundtable #20 - The Resties (2021)

    Reel Roundtable #20 - The Resties (2021)

Happy New Year!  Another bonus episode for your listening enjoyment as we bring you another Reel Roundtable discussion.  Ethan, Georgia, Ian, and Liam look back on the films they've reviewed in 2021

Ethan Georgia, Ian, and Liam look back on the films they've reviewed in 2021 and have some less prestigious awards to hand out this week in the form of The Resties.  We all try to stay friends as we debate the worst that we saw in the year that was.  Just because the films are rated highly doesn't mean they're everyone's cup of tea.  (A full list of award categories and eligible films are located at the bottom of these notes)

Plus, there's a plethora of BFE bloopers from 2021 as we point out some of our own 'Worst of' moments from the past calendar year.

If you have any ideas about future actors/actresses or topics for future roundtables, we’d love to hear from you.  Hit us up at @BestFilmEverPod on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

This year we're thrilled to have ballots from four of our patrons (Rev. Bruce, Juleen, Chris Pedersen and Ensign Ian) to help determine the winners.

    Episode 105 - Encanto

We're going to talk about Encanto this week but is it possible to do that without talking about Bruno? Join your favourite TransAtlantic podcasting crew – Ian, Liam, Ethan and Georgia as we review Georgia's pick and our newest film we've ever reviewed. We're waiting for our gift in our 105th episode as we discuss:

The future and economics of cinema

Are we ready to go back in mass crowds

We share a bit about Bob Saget

    Ian gushes about Pop Tarts

We question what exactly is magically alive in this film and what isn't

Somehow we link this film to Extreme Makeover

Why is the house such a jerk in this film?  Why is the family?

Who gets forgiven FAR too easily in this film

Does this film borrow from a lot of other films?  Is it too much?

Does this movie get the ending wrong?

Why do we cry at movies? We analyse the possibilities

Whether or not Encanto is the Best Film Ever

We also find out Reverend Bruce's pick for next week as he prepares to join us for The Endgame

These guys know how it’s done. They pick great movies and have a blast breaking them down, plus they’re really active with their community. Give a listen!

NotBAMF ,

WOW

BFE is ridiculously hard working, and it’s nuts how much high quality content they put out! Fantastic interviews, the always helpful See It Or Skip It, and full movie reviews (among others!) They deserve all of the listeners in the world just for being able to not only put out this much content but also do it as impeccably well as they do! Love this show!
