Armorer Larry Zanoff (Django Unchained, Captain America: Winter Soldier, The Matrix Resurrections) is a combat veteran, a bonafide gunsmith, and a weapons trainer for actors and law enforcmenet officers alike. He is also a great storyteller and educator, which makes him uniquely capable of explaining the critically important, yet often overlooked role of an armorer. Join us for a discussion on the responsibilities of an on-set armorer, cross-collaboration with departments you wouldn't expect, and what we need to learn from the rare but devastating on-set firearm tragedies that have captured headlines for decades.

    The Crow

‘The Crow’ set the mold for R-rated comic book adaptations, but it’s perhaps most famous for putting its enigmatic star Brandon Lee on the map… and taking him off it forever. Find out how the 1994 film was riddled with problems long before Lee’s untimely death, who else almost played Eric Draven, and the film’s surprising connection to ‘John Wick’. Love Lizzie!

I’m a pretty big movie nerd and listen through lots of film related podcasts at work. I recently discovered What Went Wrong and have been FLYING through episodes! Both main hosts are great, but I love the energy and social awareness Lizzie brings to her research, much appreciated!

Not a big flopper!!!

Having been traveling for the past couple of months I’m fully invested in this podcast. It’s well done, highly researched, and extremely entertaining. The films they cover are so broad and there is an episode for everyone. Would love to see something from the silent movie age in the future(cough cough Metropolis) but Im happy with whatever! Please never make me watch Howard the Duck again!

Host eats dinner during podcast….

Was excited to listen to a behind the scenes viewpoint of one of my favorite movies, The Thing (1982). Before the hosts begin, the co-host informs us that there will be extra noises from the “slop” that is her dinner. She’s trying to be charming but it’s the furthest thing from professional when she mentions that there might be extra “mouth noises”. No one wants to hear you eat while hosting an AUDIO show. I like this show but you can’t put down your food for 45min to record? Oh, sorry. I totally remember when Ira Glass would be munching through a burrito between introducing stories on this American Life.
I know this sounds nit picky but there is a reason why you never see podcasters/radio hosts doing this stuff…it’s disgusting.
