Knowledge Graph Success Metrics | Cameron Gibbs | #TwSEOs 102

Knowledge Graph Success Metrics | Cameron Gibbs | #TwSEOs 102

Cameron Gibbs is an Ontologist and a Knowledge Graph Engineer. He joins me to discuss on this episode of Talks with SEOs (#TwSEOs) to have a conversation about the success metrics Knowledge Engineers consider when engineering.

A knowledge graph helps with the organisation of data, making it simpler and easier to access its information. When an Engineer builds a Knowledge Graph, what metrics do they consider?

This question intrigued me and led me to invite Cameron on the podcast to discuss.

In our conversation, Cameron and I talk about the evolution of search - from mere result lists to delivering precise answers at lightning speed.

As search continues to evolve, businesses must stay agile and adapt to changing user behaviours. There is a personalised nature of search experiences, which is fuelling searchers to use social media platforms for discoverability. Search visibility is going to further expand. So what metrics should businesses be considering to determine how much search visibility they have gained because of their inclusion in knowledge graphs?

Cameron Gibbs, Knowledge Graph Engineer, joins me to discuss on this episode of Talks with SEOs (#TwSEOs).

Knowledge Graph Insights From an Engineer | Valerio Cocchi | #TwSEOs 100

Delve into the realm of knowledge graphs, reasoning, and semantic search with a Knowledge Graph Engineer, Valerio Cocchi.

We explore the intricacies of semantic search and the hurdles in implementing it effectively. Machines have impressive data processing capabilities. However, there is still the need to integrate reasoning with probabilistic approaches for more nuanced understanding.

We also discuss how semantic search has the potential to revolutionize information retrieval by boosting productivity, but we note the necessity for user-friendly tools to drive widespread adoption.

Valerio Cocchi, Senior Knowledge Engineer at Oxford Semantic Technologies, joins me on this episode of Talks with SEOs (#TwSEOs).

Creating a Wikipedia Page for Your Brand | Robin FitzClemen | #TwSEOs 99

Creating a Wikipedia Page for Your Brand | Robin FitzClemen | #TwSEOs 99

Robin FitzClemen is a Wikipedia Strategist at Beutler Ink. Joe joins me on this episode of Talks with SEOs (#TwSEOs) to discuss Creating a Wikipedia Page for Your Brand.

Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia. When used by marketers (SEOs), there is a tendency to attempt to use it as a marketing platform - a big no-no in the Wikipedia community.

Creating a Wikipedia page for your brand is not impossible. However, you need to understand what the community is looking for, as well as the correct, acceptable way of having an entry accepted.

Robin FitzClemen, Wikipedia Strategist at Beutler Ink, joins me to discuss on this episode of Talks with SEOs (#TwSEOs).

    Designing a Search Engine Today | Matthias Sesboüé | #TwSEOs 98

    Designing a Search Engine Today | Matthias Sesboüé | #TwSEOs 98

Matthias Sesboüé is a 3rd year PhD Student who's designing a Knowledge Graph based search engine for traceparts.com. He joins me on this episode of Talks with SEOs (#TwSEOs) to discuss what it'll look like to design a search engine today.

Google's web index is powerful. Google's web index is humongous. Google's web index is out of date.

It's based on an information-seeking system. The web is crawled, for information to be sought-after. Compare this to Google Business Profile, which has an inbuilt information retrieval system, where businesses provide their information.

Social Media platforms also have an inbuilt information retrieval system. Users willingly provide their details, which can be, and is, searched for. One could say these platforms have a more up-to-date search engine, albeit, less extensive than Google's.

If Big Tech are to stay the most relevant to their users, they must have new ways of thinking in place. They must have the newest, brightest minds, researching and utilising new technologies to make search a better product. This is why they have a strong academia presence.

If one were to design a search engine today, what new technologies would it use? Are these technologies what established search engines are incorporating into their products? Matthias Sesboüé, a 3rd year PhD Student, joins me to discuss on this episode of Talks with SEOs (#TwSEOs).

The Role of Knowledge Graphs for FAIR DTs | Alan Morrison | #TwSEOs 97

The Role of Knowledge Graphs for FAIR DTs | Alan Morrison | #TwSEOs 97

Alan Morrison is a Freelance Advisor, Writer, Speaker and Podcaster. He joins me on this episode of Talks with SEOs (#TwSEOs) to discuss the role of knowledge graphs for FAIR DTs.

Organising the world's information is FAIR. It requires a Digital Twin (DT) of the real world. An SEO could consider a DT an entity.

If entities are essentially people, places and things, and the latter two were the starting points of the world's information being transposed into digital, one could suggest that people are the latest phase in the quest to organise the world's information, having information as a FAIR DT.

If search is the delivery product for a FAIR DT, what role does a knowledge graph play in organising the world's information?

Alan Morrison, Freelance Advisor, Writer, focused on knowledge graphs, joins me to discuss on this episode of Talks with SEOs (#TwSEOs).
