Mass Effect 4 May Have Accidentally Confirmed Shepard's Return
Many are eagerly awaiting official details on Mass Effect 4, and a new BioWare product description may have let Shepard's return slip.

Without a doubt, Mass Effect 4 is one of the most anticipated games on the far horizon. With BioWare’s signature style and a combination of the Milky Way and Andromeda Galaxies, the game has a ton of potential. Mass Effect 4 is also reportedly using Unreal Engine 5 to boot.

Yet, beyond just the visuals and the return to the beloved franchise, the story is going to be one of its biggest driving factors. The Reapers are gone, plenty of Andromedamysteries remain, and hundreds of years potentially pass. It’s a lot to take in and it remains to be seen how BioWare handles it, but a recent product description may suggest that Shepard is still alive and coming back somehow.

YouTuber MrHulthen noticed a peculiar item description on the N7 Day lithograph the BioWare Gear Store. Titled Mysteries of the Future, this Mass Effect 4 lithograph's product description originally read: “While Shepard and the survivors are left to pick up the pieces, fans are left wondering what’s next.” The direct reference to Shepard is noteworthy, but so is the fact that—shortly after this—BioWare changed it to the following:

“The threat of the Reapers may have been ended, but at great cost including Earth itself. While the survivors are left to pick up the pieces, fans are left wondering what’s next.”

"KING KENDRICK - MR MORALE & THE BIG STEPPERS"

"KING KENDRICK - MR MORALE & THE BIG STEPPERS"

This was made before Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers was released.

The infamously reclusive MC announced his fifth album, 'Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers,' to a flurry of rumors and speculation. GRAMMY.com unearthed seven facts about the record, which drops on May 13.

In a move reminiscent of another famous G.O.A.T., Kendrick Lamar announced to the world that he's back — and arguably better for it. Taking to his personal website, "Pulitzer Kenny" delivered a Michael Jordan-esque press release that marked the arrival of his album next month.

Despite his recluse nature, Lamar remains an undisputed people's champion whose ascent to the upper echelon of hip-hop has been heralded by legends, superfans and the world's elite. In 2015, President Barack Obama said "How Much a Dollar Cost" was his favorite song; a Reddit user compiled an "unofficial Kendrick Lamar content library."

Along with the accolades and multiple imaginative albums, Lamar's mystery has kept fans eagerly awaiting his return — since 2017's DAMN., he has been very, very quiet. Very few artists can maintain such an illusion, and Lamar has made moving in silence into an artform.

And despite his monk-inspired lifestyle, the start of 2022 found Compton Kenny offering us a few bread crumbs that have clued us in on what is next to come. With less than a month away from Lamar's exciting return, GRAMMY.com explores everything we know about his fifth solo studio album — so far.

"NBA YOUNGBOY - SEE ME NOW"

YoungBoy Never Broke Again is calling out YouTubers for playing his music on their channels.

The Baton Rouge rapper took to Instagram on Sunday to ask his label to ban YouTubers from using his music in their reaction videos.

“Atlantic ban my music from all YouTubers—get a real job,” YoungBoy wrote. “Ha ha ha ion like you neither wait on my funeral.”

February, the 22-year-old rapper blasted the label for allegedly blackballing him. He also advised other artists to steer clear of Atlantic.

"KENDRICK LAMAR - MR. MORALE & THE BIG STEPPERS"

"KENDRICK LAMAR - MR. MORALE & THE BIG STEPPERS"

Since his 2017 album, “DAMN.,” the California rapper has won seven Grammys and the Pulitzer Prize for music. “Mr. Morale,” his fifth LP, is expected to make a big splash on the charts.

The five-year wait for a new album by Kendrick Lamar — the Pulitzer-anointed, voice-of-a-generation rapper — is finally over.

“Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers,” Lamar’s fifth studio LP and one of the most ardently anticipated new albums in years, was released overnight on digital services, with big hopes from fans and big questions looming about his next career steps.

After years of growing anticipation, the Compton rapper has returned with Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers—his first full-length project since 2017’s Damn. Kendrick confirmed its official release in mid-April under his Oklama moniker. The drop date was shared on letterhead for pgLang, the “at service company” he co-founded with longtime friend and business partner Dave Free.

“The following statement was released today by Oklama through his company pgLang at 11 a.m. PT in Los Angeles CA,” the memo began. “Album: ‘Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers.’ Release date: 5/13/2022. All factual information for this release will come directly from this source only.”
