    https://www.dailywire.com/news/republican-led-louisiana-house-fails-to-pass-bill-abolishing-abortion

Ben Zeisloft at the DailyWire reports: Members of the Louisiana House of Representatives failed to pass a bill that would have abolished abortion by applying homicide laws to women who procure the procedure.

The Abolition of Abortion in Louisiana Act (HB813) — which has gained national and international media attention — recognizes “the right to life and equal protection of the laws to all unborn children from the moment of fertilization by protecting them by the same laws protecting other human beings.” Accordingly, it applied state laws about homicide to children in the womb.

Last week, lawmakers on the Louisiana House’s criminal justice committee approved the bill by a 7 to 2 vote. However, after legislators approved an amendment on Thursday stating that “the pregnant female shall not be held responsible for the criminal consequences” of seeking an abortion by a 65 to 26 vote, State Rep. Danny McCormick — the Republican who sponsored HB813 — asked to pull the bill from the House floor.

Louisiana Right to Life announced its opposition to HB813 ahead of the House vote because it applied criminal penalties to mothers who procure abortion. Likewise, Governor John Bel Edwards (D-LA) — remarking that his “Catholic Christian faith” teaches him to be pro-life — followed suit in opposing the legislation. “I felt I had to join my voice to the chorus of pro-life organizations against HB813,” he said in a statement.

Pro-life activist Abby Johnson recently condemned Louisiana Right to Life for opposing HB813. “Either the preborn are fully human or they aren’t,” she saidon Twitter. “When abortion is illegal, people must pay the penalty for killing their children. These children deserve justice.”

Replying to Edwards’ opposition to the bill, Johnson said, “Well, well, well. Look how many pro-aborts you have made happy!!”

Brian Gunter — the senior pastor of First Baptist Church in Livingston, Louisiana, who was instrumental in organizing other Christians in the state to support the legislation — told The Daily Wire that Edwards “believes there are no circumstances under which a woman should be held accountable if she knowingly and intentionally kills her preborn child.”

“HB813 protects a woman who is coerced into an abortion and prosecutes the person who forces her to have an abortion,” he said of the bill in its original form. “If Governor Edwards believes the preborn child is just as much a person as the born child, then it is absurd for him to suggest that the preborn child should be discriminated against and denied equal protection under law. No one should be allowed to murder preborn children without consequences.”

Last week, Gunter remarked to The Daily Wire that Louisiana’s current pro-life trigger law — the “The Human Life Protection Act” — only penalizes abortionists with $1,000 fines, even though animal cruelty is fined at up to $25,000 in Louisiana.

Daily News Brief for Thursday, May 12th, 2022

Hi, this is Garrison Hardie with your CrossPolitic Daily News Brief for Thursday, May 12th, 2022. Have you guys signed up for our CrossPolitic Liberty Tour show in Phoenix Arizona? We’re a week away at this point! We’ll be joined by Political Analyst, Delano Squires, who’s made appearances on The Tucker Carlson Show, and Jason Whitlock, you get the idea, he knows his stuff, and Pastor and friend of the show, Pastor Jeff Durbin of Apologia Church. The show takes place May 19th, and tickets are only $20! So sign up right now at crosspolitic.com/libertytour.

So, as Pastor Toby mentioned in his News Brief yesterday, in the wake of the Supreme Court Opinions appearing to dismantle Roe V. Wade, protests erupted in Washington D.C. outside of Supreme Court justices homes… I’m sure you’ve seen the disturbing videos… well now the tables have turned, as Pro-abortion activists are protesting outside Nancy Pelosi's house accusing her of being 'complicit' in destroying abortion rights.

    https://www.theblaze.com/news/abortion-pelosi-home-protest-abortion#toggle-gdpr

Pro-abortion activists turned their vitriol on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and blamed her and the Democratic leadership for the expected overturn of the landmark Roe v. Wade decision.

A small group of protesters demonstrated outside Pelosi's palatial mansion in San Francisco, California, on Tuesday.

Video on social media showed a leader of the group vocalizing their fury…

    https://twitter.com/i/status/1524194201948278786 - Play whole video

Boooo…. Boy those seven protesters were giving it their all there!

The protest appeared to be organized by a far-left pro-abortion group called "Ruth Sent Us" that demanded Pelosi investigate the Supreme Court justices in order to "save" abortion. They accused her of being "careless and cowardly" in her leadership and blamed her for not doing enough to prevent Brett Kavanaugh from being nominated to the Supreme Court.

The accusations against Pelosi paralleled those made against President Joe Biden by many on social media who accused him of not doing enough to protect abortion rights.

Left-wing protesters have also targeted the homes of several members of the Supreme Court for protests, including those of Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, a Democrat, meanwhile called on other Democrats to pass laws and file lawsuits at the state level to protect abortion ahead of the Roe. v. Wade decision expected to be made by the Supreme Court in several months.

This is not the first time Pelosi's home has been a targeted by left-wing protesters. In Jan. 2021, protesters vandalized her home with graffiti and left a severed pig's head on her sidewalk. Well isn’t that lovely? I’m sure that Nancy will spin a fine yarn about the Roe V Wade situation…

Now, I have a question for you… Did you know that more than 75% of those raised in evangelical, Presbyterian, and Reformed churches don’t pursue any kind of Christian higher education? Surprising isn’t it. Cornerstone Work & Worldview Institute is seeking to provide a new, exciting, and affordable option for Christians.

We have a lot of work ahead of us, and this very much feels like a further up and further in moment.

Now where was I. Oh that is right, the bloodlust for the abortion crowd is insanity, and you will be seeing unleashed insanity if Roe is overturned. After calling the LGBT to arm themselves, the Mayor of Chicago also promised that Chicago would become and abortion sanctuary. The call of violence is spreading and this pass Sunday a molotov cocktail was thrown into the Wisconsin Family Action offices. As the pro-abortion community found out about it, they decided to leave messages, and here is a compilation of some of those messages: https://notthebee.com/article/pro-life-wisconsin

“(A) radical pro-abortion group named Jane’s Revenge is saying it was responsible and is threatening increasingly violent attacks that extend beyond Wisconsin if its demands are not met, writing, “Wisconsin is the first flashpoint, but we are all over the US, and we will issue no further warnings.” https://www.lifenews.com/2022/05/10/pro-abortion-group-says-it-firebombed-pro-life-office-promises-more-violence-nationwide-our-last-warning/

Of course if these were conservatives protesting, O say, a leaked Obergefell decision, Nancy Pelosi would be hyperventilating into a paper bag and calling for the national guard. But as it is, it took several days for the White House to say anything. And as it is, the response was muted and tepid.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said on Monday in the wake of abortion rights protests over the weekend that demonstrations should not involve violence and expressed President Biden’s support for judges.

“[Biden] strongly believes in the Constitutional right to protest. But that should never include violence, threats, or vandalism” Psaki said.

“Judges perform an incredibly important function in our society, and they must be able to do their jobs without concern for their personal safety,” she added.

Apparently taking their cues from these radicals, Vandals targeted the headquarters of a Wisconsin pro-life group on Sunday, setting a fire in the office and marking the building with graffiti that said, “If abortions aren’t safe then you aren’t either.”

Police said that they are working with federal officials and the Madison Fire Department to investigate the fire at Wisconsin Family Action’s Madison, Wisc., office as an arson. Officials said a Molotov cocktail was thrown inside the building but did not ignite, according to the report. Vandals seemingly set a separate fire after that, police told the outlet.

All of this… on Mother’s Day. A Catholic Church in Denver was also vandalized last week apparently in retribution for the possible Roe decision as well.

While headlines have been understandably filled with the Russian-Ukraine War and the Leaked Supreme Court Opinion, signaling the possible overturn of Roe v. Wade, Dr. Peter McCollugh and Dr. Robert Malone are still thankfully on the warpath, to confront and unearth the growing corruption in our country related to medicine and the COVID vaccines. They recently spoke out insisting that Pfizer and the CDC committed fraud for willfully withholding critical data from the public resulting in harm and death to thousands. Dr. Malone recently noted that the CDC has become entirely politicized and is spreading medical misinformation. He says that What they have done is obscene:

On Thursday The Food and Drug Administration has issued new restrictions on the single-shot Johnson & Johnson Covid vaccine.

The Johnson & Johnson shots are now limited to adults 18 years and older or for whom other COVID-19 vaccines are deemed not accessible or clinically appropriate due to the risk of blood clots.

“The FDA said its analysis had determined that the risk of thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome after the administration of the shot warrants limiting of the authorization,” CNBC reported.

“We recognize that the Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine still has a role in the current pandemic response in the United States and across the global community,” said Peter Marks, director of the FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research. “Our action reflects our updated analysis of the risk of TTS following administration of this vaccine and limits the use of the vaccine to certain individuals,”

“The FDA temporarily paused the administration of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine last year after several reported cases of blood clotting,” UPI News noted. “At the time, all six cases were found in women between the ages of 18 and 48. At least one died.”

It is not the only serious side effect of Covid vaccines that has been verified this week. An MIT study found that there was an increased risk of side effects among 16-39 year-olds in Israel.

“COVID-19 vaccination was ‘significantly associated’ with a 25% jump in emergency medical services (EMS) for heart problems in 16-39 year-olds in Israel, whose vaccination rate is among the world’s highest, according to a peer-reviewed study by MIT researchers,” Just the News reported.

Keep your eye on that, folks.

Last night, Comedian Dave Chappelle was wrapping up his set at a show in LA, when a violent thug bum rushed the stage and tackled Dave Chappelle…

The thug was identified by LAPD as 23-year old Isaiah Lee. Lee was also carrying a knife that looked like a gun… The last report I saw suggested that Lee was being held on $30,000 bond, and is booked on an assault with a deadly weapon charge.

You know, Chris Rock is on to something… When Will Smith walked up on-stage at the Oscars, and physically assaulted Chris Rock, there were no immediate consequences. Will Smith was allowed to remain at the Oscars for the remainder of the show, and then, was even able to receive his oscar to a standing ovation… so this kid, likely viewed that action and thought, what consequences? Well now we know…

But this just seems to be a tactic of leftists in this day and age. Hear a joke, or opinion you don’t like? Well, go ahead and respond with violence.

Biden says 'MAGA crowd' is 'most extreme political organization that's existed' in recent American history

Well, at least our president is trying to bring our country back together… President Biden on Wednesday, reacting to the leaked draft opinion signaling the Supreme Court’s intent to overturn Roe v. Wade, slammed Republicans, saying the controversy is "about a lot more than abortion," and warning that the "MAGA crowd" is "the most extreme political organization that’s existed in recent American history."

Following remarks from the White House announcing that his administration is "on track" to cut the federal deficit by $1.5 trillion by the end of the fiscal year, the president was asked about the leaked draft opinion authored by Justice Samuel Alito, which indicates the high court’s plans to strike down Roe v. Wade, which would leave decisions on abortion restrictions for the states to decide.

As you guys know, a draft Supreme Court opinion on a case that addresses the precedence of Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey was obtained and made public by Politico in an unprecedented and stunning leak from the high court late Monday.

But Biden on Tuesday declared he is "not prepared" to leave the issue of privacy to "the whims" of the public in "local areas," warning that a draft Supreme Court opinion overturning Roe v. Wade was a "radical decision" that would jeopardize "a whole range of rights."

Some good info. Sarcasm & sectarianism are a turnoff.

Christian news podcast that covers some good stories you won’t hear in mainstream. Good honest news coverage from a Christian perspective is desirable. Turnoffs of the podcast are regular sarcasm and “misreading” the news. What I mean is they will insert terms such as “in a new cover up” or such into the comments and then say “I misread that.” They claim to want to compete with big news media as an alternate. A noble goal. However, antics like this are not professional but junior high in style. They will never reach their said goal talking in such fashion. Also, they frequently throw in their doctrinal distinctives that also can have the effect of narrowing their audience. Many Christians would probably love sources like this. However, not many are theonomists. Simply having a Calvinist emphasis alone would turn off many Christians and doesn’t necessarily add to the news. But theonomy even narrows their ranks down within the Calvinist camp. Also, they regularly reference paedo baptism (baptism of infants). Again, a turn off to Reformed Baptists. Their goal is admirable but the way they are going about it, in my opinion, could be done in a much more mature fashion and a less sectarian way to help them gain listeners throughout Evangelicalism and maybe even Roman Catholics and conservative non-Christians. But the way they do some things on the show makes it seem like they are more interested in scoring points with their home choir than gaining the audience they have the potential to get. Save those narrow denominational distinctives for a theology discussion podcast. Avoid them in a news podcast. They’ve done well considering. They could do better. Become more Mere Christianity in news presentation. Get rid of the sarcasm and sound like the professionals they say they want to compete with. The potential is high.
