ENCORE: 4 Big Lies You Probably Believe (& they’re making you miserable)

ENCORE: 4 Big Lies You Probably Believe (& they’re making you miserable)

Let’s get serious! Well, we are always serious on this podcast, but we do love to throw in some fun and humor along the way! In this episode, we're diving into some weighty topics that often come up in our balance coaching program. These are the lies we tell ourselves, the lies that make us miserable. You know, the ones that say we can't do something because we lack experience or resources, the ones that make us feel like we don't deserve happiness or that there's no time for us to pursue our dreams. Then there's the lie that says no one will like us if we take a risk and step out of our comfort zone. And finally, the lie that something is too overwhelming and beyond our control.

We're here to help you recognize and overcome these lies so you can live a more fulfilled life and be a positive role model for your kids! So let's kick those lies to the curb and step into who we are meant to be!

How to be Momwell with Erica Djossa

How to be Momwell with Erica Djossa

    The Perfect Mom… LOL!!!!

There is a LOT of pressure on Moms today. From the Insta-perfect stay at home Moms who make raising their seven children and making their sourdough loaf look easy breezy to the working Mamas who are hustling at all hours, we’ve had a whole lot of expectations added to our already full plates since the housewife days of the 1950s. Our guest, Erica Djossa, is here today to talk about the mental load of motherhood and the importance of maternal mental health. She’s the founder and CEO of Momwell, host of the Momwell podcast, and author of Releasing the Mother Load. She helps support mothers in their transition to parenthood and her new book will be released on April 9th. Hit that play button if you’re ready to be seen while we’re heard and engage in a little self reflection too!

In this episode of the No Guilt Mom podcast you’ll learn:

Why prioritizing maternal mental health, especially as you transition into all stages of parenthood, is so important

How to reclaim joy in your role as a Mom

The role gender norms and expectations of the past can play in how tasks are delegated in families and how to even it out - for everyone’s health!

That being a good Mom takes a lot of different forms - you’re doing amazing!

Busting the Myth of Spending One-On-One Time With EVERY Kid

Busting the Myth of Spending One-On-One Time With EVERY Kid

    MYTH BUSTERS! Mom Edition.

Today, we’re tackling a particularly harmful Mom Myth: That the future success of your children depends on how much one-on-one time you, as a Mom, spend with them. Newsflash: THAT IS NOT TRUE. Yes, one-on-one time with your kids is amazing, don’t get us wrong, but sometimes, it’s literally not possible. Here’s what IS possible AND beneficial to your children: spending authentic, quality time together, making space to play (especially for Mamas with little ones), and encouraging spending with both parents. To us, this feels a lot more doable than carving out a forced 10 minutes of fun each week with your kids. The name of the game is quality over quantity and we are so onboard. Head over to the episode to take a listen and learn all about the misconceptions and pressures surrounding your child’s future success and start to truly enjoy your time together.

In this episode of the No Guilt Mom podcast you’ll learn:

Common misconceptions about spending one-on-one time with all your kids

Ways you can spend meaningful time with your kids that will create a positive relationship and memorable experiences

How to set boundaries with your time spent with kids to take care of yourself, get the rest you need to be the best parent you can be, and model healthy behavior for your kids

How to ditch the guilt of not spending enough time with each of your kids

Navigating Modern Mom Problems with Tara Clark

You’ve heard about ‘first world problems’, but what about Modern Mom problems?

Today, we’ve got Tara Clark joining us on the podcast. She’s the founder of Modern Mom Probs, host of the Modern Mom Probs podcast and author of the book by the same name. We are pumped that she’s sharing her expertise with us today! If you’re still not sure what a Modern Mom problem is, here’s the low down: The guilt we feel from spending too much time on our phones (even if it’s doing work emails or making a grocery list) around our kids? Modern Mom problem. The struggle to talk about infertility and postpartum mental health? Modern Mom problem. And how about the constant feeling of stress created by social media because our kids’ Bentgo lunch box just doesn’t have enough *cool* fruit cutouts? Also a Modern Mom problem. Modern Mom problems are hiding everywhere, just like the monsters under your kids’ bed, but these problems are very real. We’re digging in today and covering a lot of ground so tune in!

Spotting the Signs of Burnout And What to Do About It

Spotting the Signs of Burnout And What to Do About It

Usher once said “Gotta let it burn”. Normally, we support Usher all the way, but when it comes to motherhood, letting it burn is a TERRIBLE idea.

Understanding what burnout is, how to spot it, and what to do about it is our jam today. We’ll be discussing burnout in every realm and how the mental load of parenting, expectations placed on Moms, and life in general contributes to burnout. We’re also digging deep and sharing our own experiences with burnout, what we do to manage symptoms of burnout, and what you can do to prioritize your own health without needing to check into a hotel in a remote area of the country for some recharge time… although that’s fine too. Come along for a seriously real and relatable episode today!
