Is A Lack of Validation Keeping You Stuck?

Is A Lack of Validation Keeping You Stuck?

Seeking validation is a normal human behavior - whether we realize we are doing it or not. This can be especially true for physicians, who are often natural people pleasers. However, if you are considering a career or life change, it’s important not to let the need for validation from others hold you back from doing what’s best for you. In today’s solo episode (my 100th podcast!), I'm discussing all things validation, including the different types of validation and how to process your own need for validation.

Great resource

This is a great resource, Dr Fork is a fantastic interviewer. Her guests are very knowledgeable and cover a wide range of non clinical career options, many of them I did not even know existed. Every episode touches on important topics like ways to get into a particular field, long term fit, what the day to day involves and compensation. It was very reassuring and empowering to hear other doctors’ stories. Thank you Dr Fork and all your guests for so generously providing all this information and advice!

Invaluable

Heather is so real and compassionate and overflowing with valuable information to guide burned out doctors. I started my journey out of clinical medicine with her in 2017 and her encouragement and support have been a shining light in what was once darkness. These podcasts are concise sound bites of incredible pearls.
