Death can be funny...right? On todays episode I am talking dark comedies with @justinwatchesmovies! Listen in as we talk about those things that we shouldn't be laughing at and yet we find ourselves laughing. We'll discuss what makes a dark comedy, and what is actually comedic in the first place. 

Happy New Year Top 5ers! We are starting off the year right with a good old fashion Heist Film! Don't worry, we're not too square though so we've made it a bit harder on us, no robbing banks or casinos. We're getting innovative in this episode: rich peoples houses, museums, libraries, etc. Take a listen as my good friend Jacob and I talk about all things heists.

Growing up is hard to do...Trust me, I have first hand experience. Today is all about those great coming of age films that remind us of what it was like to be a kid again. Except, since we are focusing on male coming of age films, I can't relate at all. But that doesn't mean I don't enjoy a good father son film!

Something Wicked This Way Comes! 2020 might not allow us to go out trick or treating but that doesn't mean we can't sit at home and binge watch all of our favorite Halloween movies. We're keeping it PG rated with some family friendly films that remind us of our youth and remind us that even though we are getting closer to 30 we can still dress up like we are 12. Special guest DarlingOfDisney and I will be talking about all things Halloween.

Women are people too...just try telling that to Hollywood. Listen to the very first episode of Top5 as my guest Emily & I tackle the topic of women in film. We've got the Top 5 films that pass the Bechdel test & have one female main character (because really, the Bechdel test is the bare minimum of what we should expect out of a movie).  We're back on our old college campus trying to take down the patriarchy in film.
