Informative & entertaining
This podcast is exactly what I was looking for when I was thinking about how little I know about many presidents: a podcast that discusses them in chronological order. I’m less-interested in the ranking part.
I think Curtis & Brad do a good job of presenting information about the presidents before election as well as what’s going on in the world, leading up to the events of their presidencies.
The one thing that makes this podcast hard to listen to, at times, is the delivery. Both hosts often mispronounce common words, use filler words like “like” too often, and Brad’s inflection and tendency to read his facts and quotes way too quickly makes it hard to understand sometimes.
Just stating Google facts
I thought this was going to be an interesting historical overlook of each presidents life and term(s). Instead, it was just two guys reading a list of random facts verbatim. Couldn’t even get through one episode. It felt like they didn’t know anything I couldn’t easily find in a quick Google search. Also, they clearly had a political bias, which is fine for a political commentary podcast. But I felt like the bias took away from what could have been a neutral, honest account on each president.
Wrong info
In the finale episode one of the host wrongfully said that Obama also separated migrant children from their families. This is verifiable false and received no push back from the other hosts. While some of Obama’s immigration policies overlapped with trumps this is shamefully wrong, and the zero tolerance policy was a trump era policy. What else have these host just willfully got wrong with zero pushback? This greatly reduced my interest in the podcast and I won’t be tuning in further (this is the third episode I listened to).
