The Future of Manchester City, The NEW Super League, and The Final Third Derby!

Manchester City are getting charged, the Super League is back, and Chelsea still can't win games. Today, we take a look at the biggest stories in the footballing world! First, we discuss The Final Third Derby (West Ham vs Chelsea) and the VAR mistakes that occurred in this game and during the Arsenal game. Manchester City have been charged with over 100 breaches in financial conduct by the Premier League, and may face fines, a points deduction, or even expulsion from the Premier League. What does the future of Manchester City look like and what does proper justice look like? The European Super League's new format is under consideration with potentially 60-80 teams, no permanent members, and at least 14 games for each team. Is the idea still as dumb as their first attempt in April 2021? Will it actually solve the very real financial issues of European Football? Finally, we give our predictions for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 and the SheBelieves Cup featuring the USWNT.

The Juventus Financial Crisis and January Transfer Window Review

The Juventus Financial Crisis and January Transfer Window Review

Last Friday, the Italian Football Association announced that Juventus, who sat in 3rd place in Serie A, would receive a 15 point penalty, taking them all the way down to 10th. Transfer irregularities, financial misreporting, and FFP nonsense has caused Juve to be subject to some of the largest financial investigations into European club football in recent memory. How does amortization work and how did Juventus and Agnelli abuse it to their advantage? What is the outcome of the Prisma investigation and how will this affect Juventus and Serie A? And is a 15 point deduction the worst of it, or the beginning of the end for Juventus and Serie A?
PLUS! Jack and I go through the January transfer window to decide the best and worst transfers. Will Mudryk and Trossard flop? Will Gakpo come good for Liverpool? Is Sommer to Bayern good?

Ronaldo's Legacy, The USMNT's Reyna Problem, and Chelsea's decline

Ronaldo's Legacy, The USMNT's Reyna Problem, and Chelsea's decline

Today we discuss Cristiano Ronaldo's legacy after his move to Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, the USMNT drama between Gregg Berhalter and the Reyna family, and why Chelsea have been struggling so hard recently.
On December 30th, 2022, Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr signed Cristiano Ronaldo for two and half years on 200 million euros a year, the highest salary for a football player. This came about a month after his contract with Manchester United was terminated. How does this move affect Ronaldo's legacy? Is he officially washed?
Gio Reyna didn't get a lot of minutes for the USMNT during the World Cup. Berhalter afterwards stated that it was because of behavioral issues. As a retaliation, Gio Reyna's parents, Claudio and Danielle Reyna announced without anyone's consent that Gregg Berhalter abused his now wife in 1991. Now, US Soccer, the Berhalter's, and the Reyna's must deal with the fall out. Who is to blame and how does US Soccer move forward?
Chelsea FC… are struggling. They find themselves in 10th place, just as close to relegation as they are to the top 4. One Premier League win in the last 3 months. Are injuries to blame, or can we assign some blame to manager Graham Potter and owner Todd Boehly?
