Welcome to Background voice! This podcast is my very jumbled brain dump from my perspective as a British-Tamil. There are loads of random topics that come into my mind, and with these topics comes a lot of internal discussions in my head about what I think. So, I thought "why not make the internal discussion external?" So yeah...that's basically what this podcast is...it's mostly me talking to myself trying to form coherent sentences on my opinions (and research) on each topic, from social issues to lifestyle to random chats with friends. So sit back, relax and listen to my background voice.
21: We are committed to diversity and inclusivity
There are many systemic issues that affect people of color. Getting a job is one of them.
This episode delves into my thoughts on why the 'Diversity and Inclusivity Acts' many companies use, just aren't working.
20: This world is made for extroverts
As a very very introverted person, I feel like a lot of institutions are made for extroverts...
19: The power of indigenous medicine
I hate the term 'alternative medicine' because a lot of the medicines and practices I use to stay alive fall into this category...
Here's why I think we need to scrap the term and accept that practices from the BIPOC community should not be considered as 'other'.
18: I'm BYE-lingual
Yet another L&B episode!
Here we discuss our language skills, language learning, dialects, and our struggles with communicating.
17: Let's get physical!
Join me and my friends as we discuss our fitness journeys.
When that time of the month rolls by I just feel so done, but maybe it's time we better understood our cycle...
