    On this episode, I spoke to composer Blake Neely about his work on Masters of the Air. 



    Neely has scored more than 35 television series, 20 films, and received 5 ballet commissions. 



    He has been nominated seven times for an Emmy Award, where he won in 2021 for his main title theme for the series “The Flight Attendant.”



    Based on Donald L. Miller’s book of the same name, and scripted by John Orloff, “Masters of the Air” follows the men of the 100th Bomb Group (the “Bloody Hundredth”) as they conduct perilous bombing raids over Nazi Germany and grapple with the frigid conditions, lack of oxygen and sheer terror of combat conducted at 25,000 feet in the air.



    The series stars Austin Butler, Callum Turner and Anthony Boyle.

Great Guests and Insightful Conversations

Highly entertaining and engaging podcast exploring film and tv from some of the most popular shows and movies of our time. Vickery draws out his guests with pointed questions and demonstrates his keen understanding of media and his passion for film. I am looking forward to listening to past episodes and learning more about the people behind the scenes of some of my favorite shows. As a fellow podcaster, it’s always exciting to find a podcast that I find entertaining that teaches me new things!
