    Dan Fraser is a speaker, author and a retired Police Sergeant from Alberta, Canada. Much of his career was focused on making officers better through effective patrol tactics and communications training. He has specialty training in use of force analysis and investigations, crisis negotiations, reality-based training and sports hypnosis. He continues to train officers in communication skills and human factors in use of force. He has a passion for helping instructors hone their ability to deliver unforgettable training. He is the author of the book “Kickass Presentations – Wow Audiences with PowerPoint Slides that Click, Humor that’s Quick and Messages that Stick.”

Ronald “Doc” Davis shares his personal experience of having a son who struggles with self-aggression and the severity of his son's injuries, which have led to potential legal investigations.  We examine the psychological impact on officers who use force in such situations and the importance of patience and communication skills in crisis intervention. We also learn about the different ways autistic individuals self-calm and engage in self-stimulating behavior.     Ronald “Doc” Davis has a PhD in Psychology with a focus on Hostage Negotiation, Crisis Intervention, Stress, and Autism. After serving 4 years in the military and 20 years in law enforcement, he retired from the Boynton Beach Florida Police Department as a Sergeant in charge of their Crime Prevention Unit. 
    Additionally, he served as the Team Commander for both the Hostage Negotiation and Critical Incident Stress Management Teams. 
    Doc also taught undergraduate college courses for a number of years before deciding to focus on the Law Enforcement community’s training needs.

    Robert Carlson has over 20 years in Law Enforcement, serving since 2013 as an instructor for the Memphis Police Department.  

    He has over 27 years in the military and is currently the lead tactical medical Instructor for the Regional Counter Drug Training Academy, providing free training to law enforcement around the country.  

    As a Police Officer, Robert has served as a Crisis Intervention Team specialist and is a trained crisis negotiator.  He is recognized as an expert in Active Shooters and Tactical Medicine, regularly speaking on law enforcement response to Active Shooter Events.  

    Robert is the founding president of Brave Defender Community Services, a non-profit focused on active shooter prevention and education; and owner of Brave Defender Training Group, providing training to police and military.
