Response to Being Disinvited as the ’24 Dickinson College Commencement Speaker
Dickinson College has rescinded its invitation to Michael to be its commencement speaker. Listen to his response here, which is also written in full at Smerconish.com. In short, Michael says "We are doing our youth, future leaders, and nation a disservice if the civil, deliberative speech of the type I would have delivered at Dickinson is now unwelcome because it is easier to yield to the uninformed than to invest the time necessary to make reasoned decisions." Thank you for your efforts
I began listening about a year ago because I was eager to hear a variety of opinions. I’ve always been “in the middle” leaning liberal. I especially appreciate that Michael is not afraid of tough subjects or controversial figures. Also Michael is respectful of every caller regardless of their views.
Love Michael, Tired of Survey Questions
I can’t often listen to the whole show, and I was hoping it would be fulfilling.
Unfortunately, most of the podcast episodes discuss today’s “undies in a bundle” issue, so I don’t hear the wonderful guests and Michael’s thoughtful interviews.
