    Flash of Genius (2008)

    Flash of Genius (2008)

One man versus a giant corporation; little David's windshield wiper invention takes on the Detroit auto industry Goliath in this week's film, A Flash of Genius.  Amanda and Wade discuss why men like business movies, how the irrepressibly avuncular Greg Kinnear did a great job of staying true to the real person he was portraying, and there's a fun scene about an Office-style sitdramedy concerning land rights on the moon. Enjoy!

    Coherence (2013) w/ Cassie Skamarock

Do you truly know your friends and loved ones? Do you actually know... yourself? These are questions a group of friends face at a dinner party during a comet flyby in the amazing film Coherence brought to the podcast by our friend Cassie Skamarock. We discuss Cassie's deep dive into the making of this film, the director's use of a loose script and improvisation, how a certain dark choice elevated the movie from cool to can't-stop-thinking-about-it, and much more.  Pour yourself a glass of wine (ketamine optional), light a candle and enjoy... if you dare.

    Little Monsters (1989)

This week is all about revisiting childhood trauma as we cover a movie that Wade could never finish. Even to this day! A radio show begs for names for a transplanted beach and mysterious old lady warns us against interdimensional portals and more!

    Einstein and Eddington (2008)

    Einstein and Eddington (2008)

Thanks to this week's movie, "Einstein and Eddington", Wade and Amanda have decided to put aside their pretend differences and come together in a glorious show of podcastular cooperation. True, they've always been allies, but the gestures was no less heartfelt.  They talk about how two scientists on opposite sides of a war decided to do just that, forever changing our understanding of physics and the universe.  Also in the mix are some fun Einstein facts (perhaps some mortuary robbing), and even an apperance by Smeagle, the 10th doctor, Queen Liz, and a certain other ring-bearer. Enjoy!

    The Manhattan Project (1986)

This week Wade and Amanda are joined by their good friend Greg Counts to discuss this 80s film about a smart kid making a silly decision. Perhaps…his mother should have insisted on the gonad lasers. But then we wouldn’t have a movie! Or a wacky sequel featuring Nic Cage and plutonium fueled madness!

Made me Fall in Love

Don’t Worry B Movies was recommended to me by a friend and I immediately fell in love with the show. I used to find myself scrolling endlessly on streaming apps for something to watch, but this is rarely the case anymore since I’ve started listening. Now I can find a movie they’ve covered that I probably wouldn't have come across otherwise. The podcast itself is perfectly formatted with entertaining segments and impeccable flow, but the real gems of the show are the hosts. Wade & Amanda have fantastic host-chemistry and their banter, jokes, and takes on movies are what keeps me coming back each week. If you want to visit movies that have flown under the radar, have a sense of humor, and/or just want to be entertained, check this one out for sure.

Ughhh

Barely made it through the themes song. Then the opening (black Christmas) 2 minute banter was torture. 2 stars for original podcast name.
