    Hold the Phone!

    Hold the Phone!

Something I haven't talked about before on this podcast is how I've got quite a long-term, on again/off again relationship with phones. Some people would certainly disagree with this, but I actually really enjoyed my time in phone-centered jobs.
I've worked everywhere from a sex line (with a deskmate getting busy under her desk) to working at a bank and experiencing blatant racism. Join me on this one-sided party line and hear about my history on the ol' chat box.

    'Til the Fat Lady Sings

    'Til the Fat Lady Sings

Mollena and opera aren't exactly BFFs—we're more like casual acquaintences at this point. But when you get an opportunity to actually take part in an opera, you don't exactly say no!
Join me in a conversation with my lovely spouse and owner about art (and the fear of putting something out there), theater vs. opera, and perfect pitch (and why I don't really understand it).

    Living History (Part II)

    Living History (Part II)

When one comes up in an alternative community, you find out quickly that there are people you look up to and people that you hope to never ever run across in your experience.
In the kink and leather communities, here were plenty of people who were heroish and had ulterior motives that maybe were not pure. However, if you've heard me talk about kink at all, you've probably heard me talk about Vi Johnson.
Vi was the the first African American person who identified as a consensual slave, who I ever heard the name of and also was privileged to meet. Her partner, Jill Carter is equally amazing, which is why it's my privilege to bring you the second part in a two-part conversation starring both of these incredible women.
We sit down to discuss what the scene used to be like—the improvements, and how things have changed. You won't want to miss this one!

    What You Don't See

    What You Don't See

Very little gets under my skin like someone assuming they know everything about you—even though they are, in fact, not YOU. How some people think they can get in your head and tell you "no no, your feelings are wrong" will never fail to amaze me.
Today I'm going to talk about social anxiety. Specifically, MY social anxiety, which may not look like the social anxiety you expect to see, but I can assure you it's real. I'll get into how I cope, why I think it's important to talk about, and why I don't my social anxiety doesn't look like a shy person in a corner.

I first “met” Mollena on Bawdy Storytelling and I was an instant fan. Glad to see her have a podcast. ❤️

Deep, unique, and entrancing

After listening to the first episode, I am hooked. Mollena is a font of wisdom and shares her knowledge and skills gained from BDSM in ways that are nuanced and applicable to a wide audience. It’s like hearing a heart-to-heart motivational talk from a wise old friend. The podcast is also expertly produced and features wonderful music. Mollena’s gifts as an orator and storyteller shine through!
