Victoria and Vitaly speak to Oleksiy Reva, the mayor of Bakhmut, who has been in his position since 1990.
The town he runs was the focus of one of the bloodiest battles of the war so far, and is now mostly in ruin.
He discusses losing friends and colleagues, what he’d like to say to Vladimir Putin and his hopes to one day return to Bakhmut.

Less Gatehouse
Good biweekly podcast for its stories of Ukrainian civilians. Not as good a The Telegraph’s “Ukraine: The Latest,” but good. The analysis improves significantly whenever Gabriel Gatehouse is absent. Speaking of appeasement, the lack of any significant pushback to “Realist” Mearsheimer denial of Ukrainian agency and support for Russian imperialism during his interview was atrocious.
Unprofessional and biased
I gave it a try for almost a year. Everything is told from a left point of view. Reposting is below basic reporting standards
