How To Find Your Love Match | Top Dating Tips, Dating Shows & What To Wear With Rebecca Norton

Let's dive into talking all about how to find your love match & top dating tips, dating shows & what to wear with Rebecca Norton from  LUMA Luxury Matchmaking!

If you've ever used dating apps, you'll know they can be all over the place and tricky to navigate, especially when you don't have a ton of time. I hear this a lot from my clients who are often looking to work with a Personal Stylist because they want to get dressed up for a date or for their dating profile pics and then when they begin using a dating app it's very overwhelming and time consuming.

If you can relate to the modern dating struggle and you're a busy professional looking for love, you're going to LOVE my guest today: Rebecca Norton of LUMA Luxury Matchmaking.

    We chatted all about:
✨How to know if you need a match alert and what the process looks like.
✨Rebecca's top tips on navigating first dates when you like the person or even if you don't initially feel attracted to them. She mentions why it can often be a great decision to give someone the benefit of the doubt even if they are out of your comfort zone because you may be more perfect for each other the more you learn about one another.
✨Why what you wear on your first date is so important. It's important to wear something that helps you showcase who you are and being confident means you can put your best foot forward on a first date.
✨What a matchmaker thinks on modern dating shows like Love Is Blind and Millionaire Matchmaker

    Wear The Damn Dress.

    Wear The Damn Dress.

Today we are talking all about when to wear the damn dress and stop getting in your own way. Sometimes we're too close to the situation to really have perspective on what looks good because we're so in our head about whether it will look good to others. We forget to look inward and listen to our feelings. If it FEELS good, it LOOKS good. Because you radiate that energy. Being a Personal Stylist, I see this a lot in clients. Sometimes they need me to remind them to just wear the damn dress!

Size Zero To Plus Size: Fashion Tips For All Sizes From A Personal Stylist

Today we're talking all about size zero to plus size: fashion tips for all sizes from a personal stylist. As a stylist, it’s my job to not only be well versed in many brands for men and women, it’s also important for me to understand what each client feels good or not so good about when it comes to their body. Some people don’t say it up front in our initial Closet Edit call, sometimes it comes up as we are shopping and they try something on that fits well, but their insecurity comes out in how they feel about it. I share my top tips with you for dressing your body type and dressing to feel really confident and good about yourself.

Here are the brands I mentioned below:
    💃WOMEN'S PETITE BRANDS I LOVE: Abercrombie & J Crew
💃WOMEN'S SIZE INCLUSIVE BRANDS I LOVE: Good American, Venus

🕺MEN'S SLIM BRANDS I LOVE: Theory & Boss
🕺MEN'S SIZE INCLUSIVE BRANDS I LOVE: Bonobos & Johnston And Murphy

Do you have any questions? I'd love to know!

Throwback: How To Grow Your Business with Focus and Faith with Desiree Hartsock

Throwback: How To Grow Your Business with Focus and Faith with Desiree Hartsock

Today's throwback episode was such an exciting one for me! Desiree Hartsock's whole career has revolved around the industry of love beginning with helping brides find their perfect dress as a bridal stylist. You might also know her as the girl next door Bachelorette from season 9 but she's also an author of wedding planning book ‘My fairytale wedding’. Her business - Desiree Hartsock Bridal - was a huge success but she eventually closed it's doors in 2023 to focus on home educating her children and focus more on her calling to Ministry and speaking.

What really made this interview special is the fact that Desiree had her little one with her. Zander was only a few months old at the time and he was ready to get in on our conversation too! Having him present really tied into our conversation about growing your business in the midst of change. I was also pregnant with my first baby so it was super motivating being around moms that continue moving towards their vision. It becomes more of accomplishing more in little spurts of time and using any free time wisely. You can't see but during the interview she had to breastfeed the baby and take care of her dog. It's reassuring to see that moms have super powers to run businesses and take care of life at home.

Let me know if you enjoyed this episode, it was super fun for me!
