There’s a lot of podcasts out there that feature entrepreneurs once they’ve gone public, once they’ve had an exit, or even once they’ve made their first million.
But not as many that feature the first-time Product Hunt launchers, the Indie Hacker that has yet to go viral on Twitter, or the micro influencer who wants to build their first niche product.
And there’s where this show comes in.
Zero to (point) One features a collection of
Ideas that may go nowhere, or just might change the world.
From people you’ve never heard of, who may just become household names.
A nod to tech founder Peter Thiel’s Zero to One framework, Zero to (point) One explores the beginnings of (very) early-stage creators and entrepreneurs whose first chapters are still being written.
Each guest featured on the show has MRR of $500 - $10k (no more and no less) or has 10k - 100k followers on Instagram, TikTok, or Twitter.
Come and meet the next generation of builders wherever you get your podcasts every Friday morning.

Why More Founders Should Care About Service-Customer Fit and Not Just Product-Market Fit
Meet Max Weisbrod (@Mweisbrod), Founder of Baton.
It's hard for early-stage, high-growth startups to do customer success well — I mean, who has time to document processes and systematize new customer onboarding when you're out pounding the digital payment and building new feature sets?
And that's where Baton comes in. Baton is a service that empowers early-stage startups with the customer success teams they need to achieve their goals by embedding top offshore success specialists in 30 days.
On this episode of Zero to (point) One, Max and Zach talk about:
Why consulting for a customer-segment in your target market BEFORE building a product is so crucial
How to fire customers that aren't a good fit (even if they account for 20% of your revenue!)
Why more side-hustlers need to stop "trying" and start "doing"

Why More Entrepreneurs Should Build Service-Based Businesses Before Product-Based Businesses
Meet Stefan Palios (@stefanpalios) — an almost-corporate type turned freelance writer, strategist, and coach.
After graduating from Yale, Stefan went into corporate consulting. But he quickly realized that his real passion was helping entrepreneurs grow, not climbing a corporate ladder.
In 2016 he tried to start his own tech company. And while that company didn't pan out, his passion for writing and freelancing did.
Today, Stefan works with tech and tech-enabled companies across Canada, the US, and Europe. He has also taught over 1,000 freelancers via courses, talks, and at events.
In this episode of Zero to (point) One Zach and Stefan discuss:
Why more entrepreneurs should build service-based businesses
How freelancing can be an incredible asset when discerning product-market-fit
Stefan's Five F***s Framework
How to properly value your time as a consultant

Chris has always had a diverse set of interests — from cars, to software, to podcasts, to start ups.

Why More Indie Hackers Should Care About Podcasting
Meet James McKinven (@jmckinven) — founder of Whitstable Craft (a DTC handcrafted leather goods brand) and host of the popular Indie Bites and This Indie Life podcasts.
James is a marketer by trade but has always had the itch to work for himself.
An avid consumer of podcasts himself, James saw some white space in the market for a new that focused on shorter, 15-min stories with early-to-mid-stage indie hackers. And that's how Indie Bites was born!
When COVID hit, he decided to leave his day job and go all-in on his podcasts, pick up a couple of podcast producer gigs, and begin tinkering with the idea of starting a handmade leather wallets DTC brand.
Tune in for an honest conversation about:
The highly volatile emotional swings of being an early-stage entrepreneur
How to leverage podcasting as a networking growth hack
How to balance freelancing with working on your own projects
Why more indie hackers should fiddle with building physical products

Why Being Ridiculously Joyful Can be an ”Unfair Advantage” for Entrepreneurs
Meet Justin Charisma (@itsJustinCee) — Founder of CrowdParty, a Jackbox TV-like app that's on a mission to build the Netflix for workplace games.
Justin is bullish on the importance of spreading joy throughout every interaction he has with a team member, fellow indie hacker, customer, vendor, and Starbucks barista.
He believes that joyful optimism is his unfair advantage.
Justin was working for a start-up in the healthcare space over the last several years. One afternoon, about a year ago, Justin's manager asked him if he'd take care of hosting the team's Zoom happy hour.
Justin, like many of us, was sick of virtual happy hours, but he accepted the challenge. The day before the happy hour he put together a 15-min game of trivia that was specific to his team and their niche industry. It was a wild success and no one wanted to leave the happy hour!
Tune in to hear the story behind how this opportunity inspired him to build, launch, and now scale, CrowdParty.
