We're just two hotties that enjoy a good scare - but not when we're alone. Hotties and horror movies is a podcast where we watch, review and rate all types of horror movies.
We started watching scary movies together 7 years ago, where we would get together and stay up until the early hours of the morning getting fear induced heart palpitations. Everything was fine though because we had each other! Now, we live on opposite sides of the country, but have continued our tradition and moved our horror nights online.

This is our podcast episode / movie review on Hatching (2022)
An interesting and quite original concept that tackles modern day issues around influencer lifestyle, and how parenting mistakes can hatch a monster. We were definitely GROSSED out, but at the same time were engrossed and intrigued about where the story was going. The movie was already on the short side, but we felt like it could have easily been cut down to 30-ish minutes and still had the same effect.

Tinja is a 12-year-old gymnast who's desperate to please her image-obsessed mother. After finding a wounded bird in the woods, she brings its strange egg home, nestles it in her bed and nurtures it until it hatches. The creature that emerges soon becomes her closest friend and a living nightmare, plunging Tinja into a twisted reality that her mom refuses to see.

Orphan: First Kill - The prequel nobody asked for - what a snooze fest! We had high hopes for this movie but struggled to stay engaged and the plot twist wasn't nearly as exciting as we wanted it to be. We can't get past the fact this wasn't actually the story of her first kill... like, what??? Tune in to hear our thoughts!
After escaping from a psychiatric facility in Estonia, Esther travels to America by impersonating the missing daughter of a wealthy family. Yet, an unexpected twist arises that pits her against a mother who will protect her family at any cost.

The Invitation (2022)
Not going to lie, we were HYPED for this movie - We were sold on the atmosphere, the mystery, and the idea of a different approach to typical vampire movies. We weren't totally let down, and we quite enjoyed the movie - but this was definitely a one time watch. Tune in to hear our thoughts!
