A New York Podcast hosted by George Reynolds and Sam Hoyos.
This is a podcast where these two musicians are on a mission to find out the philosophy behind how and why their guests do what they do. Guests include musicians, authors, comedians, actors and essentially anyone in the Arts community with a story to tell.
Neil Rubenstein "Road Dog"
I sat with Comedian Neil Rubenstein for the second time as he was traveling through Las Vegas for some shows.
We caught up on all things in his personal and professional world as we traded ideas about what's goin on in this crazy new world of all of ours.
Find out everything you need to know about Neil on his site and social media.
Paul Bearer "Not My Monkeys, Not My Circus"
Since the day I started this podcast, Paul Bearer was and remained on my list of top 5 people that I had wanted to interview for more than one reason.
I'm sure that its clear to almost anyone who has seen him play on any stage anywhere during his over 35 year career in music that he is one of the most unique front-men the hardcore/punk scene has ever had. Its an enduring legacy that persists because Paul is known as much for the great material he's been making for all those years on records as much as his for his classic rants, wit and epic storytelling in between the songs.
So, as satisfying and almost familiar as it was to hear Paul speak in a way that reflected the lyrics and stage persona that many of us have come to know and expect over the years, it was intriguing and gratifying to hear him speak in a deep, caring and profound way. He showed a side I had never really seen before and spoke of things I had never heard in previous interviews.

RA The Rugged Man
I finally got a chance to chop it up with the legendary Long Island MC RA The Rugged Man. We talked movies and hip hop, including about his brilliant brand new album, All My Heroes Are Dead (out now). Dropping this one as a joint venture between Red River Podcast and If I Ruled The World Podcast. It was recorded via zoom so I cleaned the audio as best i could in this pandemic era. Please listen and share if you enjoyed it, and check out our podcast network, Dark Satellite Media.-- Sam Hoyos
Mike Rubino "Criminal Minded"
For more than 20 years, Mike Rubino has been the singer and front-man for some of the most aggressive hardcore bands on Long Island. In a rare interview, he speaks on his history in LIHC, his bands, his philosophy on life and his future.

Absolutely love hearing myself talk.
My go to podcasts are The Jasta Show (depends lol) and JRE. My brother told me a few months ago Israel Joseph I was on this podcast called ‘If I Ruled the World’. Listened to it. Amazing interview. Subscribed, listened to all the archives and here I am. Sincerely the best podcast in my opinion. George and Sam are some of the best interviewers I’ve ever heard. They let the guest speak (unlike The Jasta Show, sorry Jamey), they ask the questions everyone wants to hear plus some more, and it’s just the perfect podcast. I hope they continue to get more sponsors and they blow up (just don’t interrupt the interview every 10 minutes to do a plus, sorry Jamey lol). The variety of guests is incredible. I love the focus of Hardcore and the diversity. If I can give any criticism it’s that they don’t release enough episodes per month. I’d say that’s a good thing. I think it’s cool they can have Phil Anselmo from Panthers/Superjoint Ritual/Down etc. fame on then have Tom from VOD, than guys from bands like The Movielife and Taking Back Sunday on. The variety is great and even if you’re not into that particular style of music, the interviews are always fun. Keep up the great work and keep putting out material!!!!
You guys rule!
Thank you for amazing episodes 🙌
