"If You’re Listening” is all about one person’s mission to force her friend to listen to all the music he missed in high school. Sometimes it goes well and Heather broadens her friend’s horizons just a little bit. Often times it doesn’t go so well and Ramsey spends the episode wondering why anyone would listen to this music, or in extreme cases, launching empty threats at the band that recorded it.

Great hosts!

Besides the fact that they tend to write off an album/band way too soon, (Brand New, Episode 5 and Cartel, Episode 27 are great examples) and the music audio only comes out of one one side of my headphones/speakers on a number of episodes, Ramsey and Heather are wonderful hosts with a great dynamic.

AFI Episodes 69, Bayside Episode 55 and Paramore Episode 48 are standouts!

It is really distracting when their commentary comes through perfectly, but the audio of the music only plays through one side of my headphones so I really hope they fix that issue, but I really look forward to bands like Chiodos, Every Time I Die, Senses Fail, Audioslave, Yellowcard and much more Bayside and Brand New. It's a terrific idea and they do a wonderful job with this show. Much love from CA!

New fave

Love the back and forth between Heather and Ramsey. For not knowing either beforehand I feel immediately connected. Love the mix of music and levity and of course the nostalgia.

LOVE IT!!

I found this show through a music site linking to their Counting Crows episode and from that listen I was hooked. Heather shares so many of the same feelings and love for these bands and songs I do and yet the best moments come from episodes like Something Corporate where you can just tell her hear is buried in her hands at how cringy it is in hindsight. Ramsey is a delight, his delightfully twee sensabiliteis are the perfect match to Heather, his episode with a mixtape of what he listened to in high school is a dang national treasure. I love this show, I love these 2 folks, every Monday is made better when I see what the new album discussion is.
