    Hope for the Hopeless

    Hope for the Hopeless

Wherever you are, whatever space you find yourself in, may your heart be encouraged, you are not beyond hope, you are not beyond help. Nothing is impossible with the God who loves you. If you feel exhausted, defeated, hopeless or despairing, I pray you experience His grace reaching in and taking hold of you, lifting you up and out of the miry clay, the stuck places, the hopeless spaces. I pray you experience His truth strengthening your bones, bringing surety to your steps, bringing peace to your heart despite the challenges you face. Hope and help, natural and supernatural. For me the help of the Helper has been the one thing that has made the biggest difference. Again and again.

Helpful

Michelle provides information that helps with understanding why you feel the way you feel. She provides strategies to help rethink your behavior and to re-frame the thinking associated with disordered eating. I listen often and apply her advice to my life. It's especially helpful for body image issues. Grateful to have access to her tools here and online.

Could Evolve into something but not there yet

The host seems qualified to speak and discuss the topic of eating disorders and comes across as genuine and sincere. However, the podcast seems more of a platform to sell her books than give any meaningful advice. While there are some great tidbits, if I had to tell you what I've learned after a few episodes it would be that there are at least two editions of her book. The first was too broad and included weight numbers and in the second she removed the specific measurements on advice from another girl.

Again, I appreciate her efforts but maybe get to a meaningful discussion and only reference your books at the beginning or conclusion instead of constantly throughout the podcast.
