Gastronomical

I’m a huge fan of Ghetto Gastro. I have two ✌🏿copies of the Black Power Cookbook — one for the kitchen and one for the workplace. The breadth and depth of diasporic knowledge behind the cuisines is colorfully illustrated through the pages of the book. This podcast works well in tandem with the book to bring that language to life. This tone and point of view has been needed for a long while now; an authentic narrative from members of the global majority. Food should always be a culture conversation the GG deserves a seat the table. YERRRR!!! 🗣️

This show is essential!

I listen to this with pride. As Black folks, our food culture is rich. And it’s global. There guys get it right. They tell the history behind the foods we all love to eat. As a vegan, I love the twist they put on the food. Soul food is vegan. Lastly, it’s the lingo for me - I feel like I’m listening to the homies. This is a must listen!
